You know, if these silly petitions worked, I feel the world would be a very strange place.

But why...?

Sadly, I don't think a petition will fix this, especially if awareness of this has already been brought to court and nothing happened. Yes, it's monstrous and should absolutely stop. This is also done to gays to "fix" them in "conversion therapy" programs, something people are fighting to outlaw here in the US but xians are fighting to keep.

Our country had "enhanced interrogation" of people seized without evidence, held without charges, and imprisoned for years without action. No punishment for Bush or his administration.

We're a country that loves to punish others and laws apply less and less to the rich and powerful, only the poor and weak. While torture is illegal under both US and international law, good luck getting it to stick to anyone when there's money to be made. We also have third world prisons here with abysmal conditions... no change there either.

We need a revolution, not a petition.

I know there's always going to be some who disagree with users sharing petitions on GOG, but I still think spreading awareness of issues is a very important thing. While I have to refresh my memory on forum rules here and petition sharing in general, I don't find it to be a bad idea.
