CuCuJambo, I'd like to see your picture in context with the rest of your desktop (a full screen-capture), rather than just a cropped pic of the game section.
I like threads like this and being able to get a little insight into other people's modes of operation/how they do things.
I can't stand anything being on my desktop. I like the be able to see the calm of my background.
I have almost every single game that I own installed (over 200) unless: I've beaten it and am not going to ever replay it, or it is a GB-heavy sequel that I've not yet beaten the predecessor(s) to. The games that I'm currently focused on playing (though, some have back-burner status while others are in a more active play-state) as well as a few all-time favorites reside in my start menu for quick-access, and the rest are in alphabetical order in my programs>GOG folder.
Shelter I almost beat and then stopped playing because I was waiting for my partner to beat first.
Overseer I'm a few days into but am finding it sucking and hard to get through, though I require myself to do so before moving on to Tesla Effect which I'm excited for.
Shadowrun Returns I'm 75% of the way through but then I got distracted by other things in life and haven't gotten back to it. I realized after putting a bunch of hours into Gothic that I should finish Shadowrun Returns before I get too immersed in Gothic so I don't forget what's going on/what I'm doing (if that happens it will be hard for me to get back to because no way am I replaying what I've already played and I hate trying to figure out wtf I was doing in a game after leaving it for a while.) So Shadowrun will likely be the next game I complete.
FTL and Tales of Maj'Eyal are currently in "forever-play" status.
TLJ, Torment, and Fallout 1 are all there to be replayed when I get a chance. Inquisitor I had to start over because of a bug and is currently back-burner status until after I finish Gothic. These are all-time favorites and Gothic will probably join them in the "forever installed+someday replay" group.
I still haven't finished W2 and once W2 DC gets another patch I will start it and play them along side each other with the same characters + group build but with some tweaks. I look forward to switching back and forth between them as I go through them to really experience the differences.
As you can see I'm practically full, and this bothers me because I'd like more space (can't rip any DVDs or DL/install more games atm), but at least it's organized.

awalterj: Uncluttered environment -> uncluttered mind, not magically and automatically but I find it helps a little bit.
I believe this to be absolutely true. As crowded as my HDs are, I have them insanely organized. I have 2 HDs with multiple partitions. C: partition is exclusively for the OS+drivers. D: partition is games. H: partition is DLed movies. G: partition is DVD-rips and other media (music+pictures.) E: partition is for software that interacts with the internet (skype, utorrent, zune player, etc.) and where I DL things to. F: partition is software that stands alone (word, celtx, VLC, alcohol120, etc.) B: partition is overflow, meant to be for our KORG microsampler, but currently holding game installers and some movies that I couldn't fit elsewhere. As you can see I'm practically full, and this bothers me because I'd like more space (can't rip any DVDs or DL/install more games atm), but at least it's organized.
