Stop that, why change the installation style if it's not broken! I don't have GOG Galaxy don't want it, and I shouldn't have to click 'offline' downloads to get to my games.

Maybe people like the convenience of having everything in the same place?

Also, it's just one more click to get the offline installer, it's not a big deal.

It's a helluva lot better than it was, when the offline installers were buried under the MORE tab.

Not to mention the default was installers with Galaxy bundled into them. That button that's in the OP's face is actually a good thing. You don't want Galaxy? Don't touch that button. Before this, I read a number of posts by people pissed off because they'd inadvertently DLed the Galaxy-laden installers and installed Galaxy by mistake. This setup is orders of magnitude better.

Ah right, completely forgot about that issue since I normally used AF to just send the galaxy free installers to the gog downloader. But yes, another good point for the new setup. Only "issue" I have is that the button looks oversized, but that's just visual, so not really important (and I got rid of it already anyway) :D

Yeah, I'd be happy if it wasn't just this big dumb blue button. I was worried and had to come here to find out where the stand alone downloads were. Please at least not make the button obnoxiously big.

They said many times that they don't intend to do that. If they do, I think a lot of people will stop buying games here.

How is putting the offline installers in a more accessible place "testing the waters"?

Previously, the Offline installers were hidden under the "More" tabs which required 3x clicks to start (More -> Classic Installers -> Files). Now, the files are visible directly on the main game page and require only 1x click to start. If you click to show the "Download Offline Backup Game Installers" with the down arrow button, GOG actually remembers the visible / hidden toggle from one game to another, so you don't even need to do that for each game. Overall, the offline installers have gone from needing 3 to just 1 click. Much better than before.
