rojimboo: Tencent only owned less than 10% of the company at the time, yet you're saying it influenced Blizz enough to ban the esports dude for his political statement? Or would they have done it regardless, because they want to make as much money as possible and didn't want to piss off a massive market?
Well, I said China and Tencent between brackets.
But, anyway, in both cases ActiBlizz still looked evil and worthy of a boycott.
(for me it's easy because I don't play any of their new titles, but I can understand it would be difficult) rojimboo: Tencent owns Path of Exile dev GGG, yet they were free to do/say whatever they wanted about the situation.
It's not so black and white, all chinese companies aren't evil.
Really? I'll check some sources, because I wouldn't have expected it..
Chinese companies aren't evil per se, it's the dictatorship that makes them so (see also Xiaomi).
