Sachys: if they were chavs they'd have less DRM than GOG. Chavs hate anything that means you cant easily have it for free somewhere.

you might mean Harvard Graduates of law? (I Heard the two were easy to mix up! ;P)

Leucius: No, my bad. I have a British friend who uses the word "chavs" frequently when talking about people he doesn't like, my bad.
You can equate it to certain racial terms from some peoples mouths - and equate "immigrants" or "migrants" to anything a Nazi might have said on the same terms man. Its all 1984 here!

Edit: but dont feel bad - shit happens!

They should work wording into contracts where if devs don't update their game here within several months of the game being updated elsewhere, a permanent price drop goes into effect to reflect the "lesser" status of the game.
Two years? Not the record-holder. And GOG probably don't want to annoy Telltale by creating such a policy.

Slender should be nuked until it glows.
Have you tried talking directly to devs? Don't be afraid to tell them what you think about the situation; it's not as if they're gods or something. They treat their GOG customers like poo, why not treat them in kind?

toxicTom: GOG pulling down games for lack of support would certainly divide the community. Some want as many games here as possible, others cherish the "boutique approach" which also can mean to discontinue products that prove second rate...
Hell, I have conflicting feelings about that myself. That's why I'm curious what other people would think.

On the one hand, I quite liked the game for what it is - a nice, creepy 45-90-minute ride (depending on how lucky you get when the game randomly generates your levels). And I'm certainly happy to have been able to get it here.

Then I check out the game's forum section to see if the update has finally arrived and I regret ever having purchased it.

jamotide: Maybe the game had not a single sale, so no need to update :D
Well.. it's had at least one sale - I bought it some time back. Haven't played it yet..
I never knew slender was on gog 0_o so no updates in 2 years crazy I guess gog seen the thing getting no sales and just pulled the plug on bothering with it no?

When you think British "chavs", think American "trailer trash", German "Asis" or Russian "gopniks".

Or Australian "bogans".

I've heard that one being tossed around a lot, but isn't that the equivalent of a U.S. redneck?

For me redneck seems more rural, while a bogan is urban.

It was part of a "build your own bundle" sale waaaay back in autumn 2013.

Since then, it has received one update (which got rid of the game asking for a serial code, the version initially sold here was DRMed).
They should nuke it just because it's a POS game really. "Quality curation" my ass.
