I used to LOVE shopping online. Such convenience. But the frustrations just keep growing and it's nearing the boiling point for me. Anyone else feel the same way??? What's your experience been like? Likes, dislikes, etc.?

The thing that is just driving me nuts is when I KNOW EXACTLY what I want... but can't get a damned response from any search showing JUST THAT. If there's no match for EXACTLY what I want... then tell me there's no matches... don't give me page after page after page of crap this is not and nowhere near what I want.

Latest example: I want a 32 inch (31.5 is ok but I'll just say 32 inch) CURVED, 2560X1440, G-Sync Monitor with a refresh rate of at least 75Hz.

I've tried at Newegg, E-Bay, Amazon, even on just plain google. Oh i get results.... pages and pages and PAGES of results... that include 27 inch monitors... Free-Sync monitors... 3440X1440 monitors... I've been doing this off and on for the past 4 days now and have found ONE. ONE. An LG-monitor and my one and only experience with an LG was I thought it's colors were.... I dunno... bland (not a good word... of all the monitors I ever had I thought the colors on that monitor was the worst... just didn't "stand out" the way a good monitor does).

What am I doing wrong? If you knew what you wanted down to every detail I listed how would you do the search??? Or is this just the way it is... no matter what you put in the search box you're going to get all sorts of crap that are NOT what you want??? What kind of way to do business is that?

I tried to sign up for instacart this weekend. Due to a last minute scheduling change, I work somewhere else than I had originally planned and didn't have any food stashed there.

Between the light green text on the white background and their website's inability to do a right click -> open in new tab, I finally gave up.

One of things I've learned over the years is that when you do a website, you need to sit someone's grandmother in front of the website and see how they handle it.

As to searching, I just love how I drop keywords into a google search and the first page of results all have deleted terms. I put them in there for a reason.

I;m dropping the inches simply because double quotes means something in google and may be throwing off your results.

Probably nothing. This may be a case of there just not being any stock available at those places. Although, I admit, I do find it annoying as well when you get pages of results for something you weren't searching for in the first place. But businesses do that in the hopes you'll look at some other product and go "What the hell, I'll buy that instead".

Normally this is when I suggest throwing plus signs in front of each search term but Google ignores those now.

Because google is just a generic search engine and if you know what you want then you need to use specialized ones to get more accurate results.

In the Netherlands we have a meta product search engine for computer hardware on a site called tweakers.net (for and by computer geeks), which is what I'd use. Based on the available models here (which obviously aren't the same as what'd be available for you), what you want isn't possible. Varying the parameters, these are the models which come closest (bolded where they differ from what you want):

With a good monitor you can and should adjust the colours. If the colours stand out, they are oversaturated.

I hate those pages that just exist to trap search results, but don't do anything useful. I also don't know why everything wants me to make an account when I only want this one thing.

The poster mentioned that they had visited "Newegg, E-Bay, Amazon". I assumed that they had used the searches on those websites.

I don't hate the experience or anything, but im not a big fan of how quick and easy it is. I go looking for one inexpensive thing, but I somehow end up spending $200. For some reason I only have that problem with online shopping. If I go into a real store I don't get tempted to buy a bunch of other things. Its not because of the selection either. I don't get it.

You must be a list person. Make a list a head of time and only grab those items.

My third ex and I were like that which was weird because her mom was a grabber. Usually had to give her money for all of the extras she picked up.
