look at some lets plays of the games and also you don't need a dreamcast to play them, i just say emulator.

That is not what I meant. It's just I appreciate helpful replies because not all the replies I get are helpful. Sometimes I get replies that are the opposite of helpful because some people here don't <3 me like they should.

Coolest thing about emulating? You get to play Undub and hear the original Japanese voices. I don't know about much but I always hated the English voice actors and couldn't stand Ryo's voice. It's much better in Japanese IMHO.

actually i'd say that emulation is a solution because its hard to get a dreamcast and the games these days (rare&expensive). i have the same situation with getting an american sega saturn in good condition with all the 3 shining force iii scenarios, all awesome games.
One of the stretch that is reached already is a film of the story so far. I think Shibuya Productions will be responsible for this and their other animated films look quite promising. So it is not necessary to play the games. But I would play them because in no other game someone is so connected to the main protagonist and other important characters.

I was watching some documentaries about Yu Suzuki and I can now understand why Shenmue is so good. He is an artist, a philisopher, a programmer, a traveller and so many other things but not a gamer. But he is perfectionist and this can be seen in his games. His former Sega studio AM2 defined modern videogames from the mid 80s until 2000. I am curious what he and some of his former employees can do with hardware like the PS4 and modern PCs.

The "cinema shorts" stretch goal are probably all the cutscenes edited together to tell the story, nothing more.

When using an emulator, you have to live with some graphical bugs though, because of the emulation.
The only real solution is a Dreamcast with a Vga Cable/Box/Hanzo.

I hope a good port of both parts will be released before part 3 for PC and all consoles (but not like Xbox with missing shadows and stuff...)

I get the feeling that there is no chance in hell to get 11 millions. The donations seem to be frozen after the announcement that Sony will be involved in the project (though they won't put money on the table). Dumbest PR move, if you ask me. That announcement should have happened after the campaign (Obsidian announced Paradox involvment after the campaign, inXile told us about their publishing deals after the campaign and so on). way to shoot yourself...:(

Unveiling Sony's involvement has probably nothing to do with the drop in daily donations – it's more that no Kickstarter update under the sun could ever generate the kind of interest that an E3 announcement at the Sony press conference has unleashed. It's natural for Kickstarters to pretty much die down after just a few days, and that's true especially for very successful Kickstarters.

Torment Kickstarter, for comparison:

So, yeah, this Kickstarter development is completely normal.
There is a poll for the most wanted game on the official Playstation Magazine Facebook page. You know what to do :)

I'm not ruining my life by making a facebook account.

Not even for the Final Fantasy VII remake. :)

I'd say the drop in donations is also due to the stretch goals. Remember after the Twitch and they unveiled new goals they sold out immediately and IIRC the Kickstarter jumped up 60k almost immediately. They just need new stretch goals that appeal to more of a crowd.

And as someone on the Kickstarter said they need some that appeal to people without a ton of cash. These new goals are great for dudes with 2 and 3k lying around but what about those who don't or won't want to drop over $100?
