Daliz: I don't know about favourite but I just cooked some pork tongues. Recipe from the interwebz.
Very simple, you need:
Pork tongues
Garlic
Bacon
-Peel and slice the garlic
-Rinse the pork tongues and make small cuts in the tongues with a sharp knife
-Insert garlic slices in the cuts
-Wrap the bacon around the tongues tightly
-Then wrap the whole thing in aluminum foil
-Bake in oven, 200C, 2,5 hours
:P
Are those pickled (in vinegar) pork tongues? I'm not sure we can buy any other kind here.Very simple, you need:

There are about a thousand ways to cook white rice. But here are 5 of my favorites. All are very simple.
General rice cooking recipe:
1 cup of rice
2 cups of water
(If you want more rice, double the ingredients but don't increase the cooking times too much, if at all. It is always a 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice ratio. More water, runny rice. Less water, rice wont cook right.)
Large enough pot to hold ingredients (or rice cooker)
Add rice to pot (you can wash the rice in cold water until it no longer runs cloudy, some say it tastes better if you do.)
Add 2 cups of water.
Turn heat up to high, cook until water boils stirring occasionally. (Or press ON on the rice cooker)
Turn heat down to low, cover with lid. (Ignore this step if using a rice cooker)
After 20 minutes rice is done. (Or wait until rice cooker beeps and says its finished/light changes to "warm")
Now, either spoon it into a bowl and add ONE of the following ingredient choices or enjoy it plain:
* A spoonful of sugar and a bit of milk.
* A spoonful of peanut butter (sounds weird, but it is so good.)
* A dash of salt and pepper, a bit of melted butter.
* A few ounces of coconut milk.
* Heat up a can of soup (or if you have soup already made) and add the rice to it.
Other options, if not going the above route include:
A meat and veggie option (chicken, beef, or tofu/Carrots, peas, broccoli, potatoes, corn).
Plain Soy sauce, or a splash of rice vinegar.
Japanese mayonnaise (totally different creation method than American mayo, its usually made from scratch and semi-sweet) you can find tutorials on youtube.
Curry sauce.
Gravy (a pot roast or beef stew gravy works great, turkey/chicken gravy also works well.)
Frankly, I'm usually not great in the kitchen, so a very simple dish like rice is hard to mess up. And it is versatile.

Daliz: No, they're raw & fresh. They're not exactly common around here either (probably mostly used in making sausages etc where you can't see it's a tongue lol) but there's a nice little meat shop near where I live that sells pretty much any part of the animals. Maxvorstadt

Frozen Blueberries with Milk
Put frozen blueberries in a bowl - as many as you want to eat
Pour whole milk to just cover berries
Sprinkle sugar over top to taste
Stir gently. The milk will turn all slushy and the berries will partially melt. Eat quickly on a hot day.

Let me share my favorite summer soup -
Tarator
This cold soup is among Bulgarians favorite foods for the summer. It is served as a first course instead of a salad or between meals as refreshment.
-------------------------------------------------------
Ingredients:
-------------------------------------------------------
2 cucumbers (about 500 g or 1 lb)
500 g (1 lb) plain yogurt
1-4 garlic cloves
1 bunch fresh dill (optional)
sunflower oil (1-2 table spoons)
salt
water
------------------------------------------------------
Directions:
------------------------------------------------------
Cut the cucumbers into cubes and put them in a bowl. You may aslo grate them but it changes the look and the consistency.
Beat the yogurt with a fork until it gets liquid and pour it over the cucumbers.
Add the crushed garlic and the minced dill as well as salt and oil to taste.
Add some water to make the soup as liquid as you like but take care not to make it too "thin".
If you use 3 or 4% fat yogurt, you can add 1 table spoon of sunflower oil, if your yogurt is 2% or less, add two table spoons of sunflower oil. Usually I add so much water as I added yogurt, i.e. 500g of both, but you can experiment :)
Since you're using cold water and yogurt from the refrigerator it should be cold enough to be served right away. Store in a refrigerator.
Bon appetite!
