I created a march ticket concerning mount and blade warband to indicate that the offline setup is not up to date (1.059). The galaxy version has the latest version (1.06x).

So just doing an offline setup doesn't take long to do.

I did not have an answer before the beginning of June or they will see my ticket. Then today still no news.

It's really shameful and not the first time. I had already opened a similar ticket a few years ago for the escapist 1 or the dlc setup incompatible with the game setup because not the same version.

Gog corrected the problem afterwards but it took 2 years when it was a problem that can be solved in a few minutes. A problem with the metro exodus sdk setup which was corrupted. After ticket creation plus 3-4 months for it to be corrected.

I find it shameful that gog to correct such a problem takes months, years of waiting while its correcting such a problem.

The setup of dawn of war soulstorm french version also has the same corrupted file problem. I'm going to open a ticket but hey it's going to take months just for a response and certainly years to solve the problem.

It's really shameful how gog treats offline setup users.

Revan509: Cry more or use Galaxy
Gog said galaxy optional. The gog forces us used galaxy. So lie and say it's optional. And don't cry, it's legitimate gog has always offered free drm setups, that's its policy. They lie about their policy and force us to use their launcher. It's really shameful even criminal because false advertising.

Hi,

It already cries a lot in our language.

But I agree that having an offline setup is important to me.

Otherwise I might as well keep buying on Steam or EGS.

I totally agree with you, the purpose of GOG is to let consumers have access to their game whether they want to play it through the offline setup or not, so they should stick with their promise of DRM-Free entirely, because gamers have the right to play with an updated game even in offline setup, some people pay and use the GOG website just for that, they don't want to have a launcher for their games and they have the right to do so, so let's hope GOG improve their behavior toward the community!

That's not the only way they punish offline users. They do so via first party games too, with the "My Rewards" nonsense.

Cyberpunk 2077:
"Is MY REWARDS also available on the local version of Cyberpunk 2077 — which can be downloaded via GOG and installed separately from GOG GALAXY?
Because MY REWARDS requires an internet connection, the local version of Cyberpunk 2077 that you can download via GOG will not support MY REWARDS."

The Witcher 3 (Remaster):
"Is MY REWARDS also available on the local version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — which can be downloaded via GOG and installed separately from GOG GALAXY?
Because MY REWARDS requires an internet connection, the offline backup installer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that you can download via GOG will not support MY REWARDS. However, you can download and install GOG Galaxy at any point and add the existing install of the game to your library in order to claim your rewards."

So much for Galaxy being "Optional". Please vote to make "My Rewards" available via offline installers, so that CDPR games could be preserved in their entirety, without depending on some stupid authentication server somewhere.

Updates for the backup installers usually take longer, but not that long. Hopefully they act on your ticket soon. In the meantime I'd use the Galaxy version, which doesn't actually require Galaxy to run of course.

You have more games than me on GOG. So, of the 1600+ games, how many offline installers are corrupted? I had a few issues with my offline installers, but not many in the 10+ years I have used GOG.

Some offline installers take longer to update. Tiny Trooper just got an update. You guys act like the game needs to be updated right now, or the game will not work at all. Some newer updates have broken or added more game bugs . Looking at your Kingdom under fire and diploma is not a option.

I had several. And as soon as I detect, I create a ticket for him to correct. A problem that takes 5min to be fixed. But nothing but a response, you have to wait 5 months and then months or even years to correct a problem that takes 5 minutes to be corrected, it's really shameful.

I had an issue a couple of weeks ago, and I got a reply from a live person after three days. Did anyone reply to at least knowledge your problem?

I just have an automatic response and this message received in addition to the beginning of June while ticket created in March or they will come back to me in the future days.

I especially think that they have nothing to do with offline setups. And want to force us to use their so-called optional launcher. False advertising since it becomes mandatory. Because it's not the first ticket concerning the offline setup where I have problems with the support and which dragged on for months or even years.

I also agree with what Lukin said (perhaps not so violently, though). It would be nice if GOG could solve the problem of certain offline games.

Maybe. My issues were about the offline installers.
