Now available on GOG? What's with all the reviews from 2021 then?

Not saying it's not click baity a bit, but taking things out of context hasn't ever done anyone any good either :P.

And about the game, I still have my quick travel teddy bear right here!

Perhaps they've updated it again with even more additional features.

I remember reading that the team working on Shadow Man Remastered was still going to release another patch that restored even more of the cut content, does anyone know if they've added anything more recently?

As far as remasters go, Shadow Man's looks pretty decent. But I don't really find it worth it as I already own and finished the original. Some of the restored content could be interesting, but still...

Probably a good option for first time players though. Well, the only option, as the original is now bundled into the remaster.

Additionally to the restored content It has many new QoL features, like real time weapon selection wheel (while time slows down), updated map is available in-game in a book, also a new weapon "tete de mort"...

what?! there's a map?!

I've played the game massively when it originally came out, insta-bought the remaster, but dropped playing it shorty because it was exactly the same crazy maze of twisted corridors I remembered from back then... my ability to orient in there is tragic so I always thought I could only play this if I had a decent map in my hands :D
It's just a plain map to look at; your position or targets or goals are not shown on it. ;)

They are continously updating the game. Here is just a brief excerpt from the last patch:

V1.5 - 2022-11-27
=================
New difficulty, "The Horror", can be selected when starting a new adventure. This difficulty contains many changes to make the adventure more challenging.
These are some of the changes (other changes not mentioned to avoid spoilers):
- More enemies and deadly obstacles have been added in all levels.
- Shadow man receives twice the damage.
- The Shadow gun deals less damage and no longer leaves Lifeforce drops after killing enemies. (Start using your Voodoo weapons!)
- Almost all enemies now have at least one extra attack or action.
- Enemies no longer recoil, and are stronger, faster, better.

Enemy Changes:
- Added Seraph and Seraph Queen
- Added Deadworm in various locations throughout Deadside.
- Added 2 new Surgeon baddy variants based on the original concept art: the "Painkiller" and the "Sentinel"

Texture Changes:
- Added new option to toggle Dreamcast Water textures and texture smoothing.
- 78 more pages of concept art have been added in the Book of Shadows.

General Changes:
- Added 2 new Achievements
- Added a new Voodoo weapon
- Added 3 new secrets to unlock in the secrets menu.

And that's just 1% of the patch notes.

Hmm, this actually sounds interesting and could freshen up the experience if I ever replay the game. Now I'm considering getting it :P
As someone who has played this for 40+ hours I can highly recommend this remastered version. The game has never looked better or performed better. This is one of the best game remasters Nightdive has done so far.
I had tried to play it many years ago (over 15), not the remastered version of course, and I couldn't get my bearings. Where I am? Where I must go? We' re talking about labyrinthine levels!
I don't know which is worse in this aspect, this game or Summoner!!
I don't know if things are better in the remastered version, but I don't dare to try out. I'm talking about trauma conditions!

Which version did you play? There were some differences in the map layout on the console versions that may have made things more (Or less) confusing.

For example if I remember correctly the N64 version had reduced map sizes with many of the optional paths either removed or shortened.
