Tought id try GoG out, but the setup is downloading at 0-20 kb/s. With my internet i get up to 36 mb/s, so it cant be that. This makes me wonder if GoG has bad speeds overall and if ill be useing multiple days to download games? 2 hours for a 129mb file is waaay too long.

Yeah I'm getting glacially slow download speeds too.

Are you guys using the Galaxy client, or is the download speed slow even when downloading with a web browser?

I don't have such speed problems, but then I don't use Galaxy. Reading older threads, quite often speed problems with Galaxy have been fixed by disabling antivirus. No idea why some antivirus programs would make download speeds with Galaxy slow.

Ive learned that you dont need the client so im good. Any of you know why when i enter the game code i get "Oops, something went wrong. Please refresh this page and try again."?

I'm using web browser, I don't even have Galaxy installed, and never had it installed.

Try GoGdownloader.

The GoGdownloader worked! But it took 15 min to download the downloader installer. Thanks for the help Maxvorstadt

I can't get GoGdownloader to work. I'm using chrome, the workaround instructions aren't working either.

EDIT: But now browser download speeds are back up to normal, so my download timers are measured in minutes instead of hours and days.

Contact GOG support (we are mere GOG users like you, unless you see someone writing in blue text, those are GOG staff). They can tell why a game code does not work for you, e.g. if it is not a legit code.

Does this code problem have anything to do with your earlier download speed problems? I presume not.

Its a code for the witcher 3, ive contacted the seller to get my money back. Just gonna stick to what i know works and use steam.

Let me guess the seller was one of the key reselling sites like G2A and company? Those keys are blocked by gog since they are not an official reseller and in most cases stolen and resold there.
