Hi all
Wondering what peoples opinions and recommendations in regards with Settlers series?.

I would say The Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary is the best Settlers game, closely followed by Settlers 3: Ultimate Collection in the classic Settlers game-play of games.

The Settlers: Heritage of Kings, is a different beast, more of an RTS with heroes. And The Settlers: Rise of an Empire, is kind of a mix between the two, but still more RTS and quest focused.

My wife enjoyed Heritage of Kings and Rise of an Empire more than the classic games, but in my books Settlers 2: 10th Anneversary is the ultimate Settlers game.

2: 10th Anniversary and 3, 4 not that great compare to the other 2, i have yet to play rise of an empire and the eastern realm

The last one I liked was 4... above that the series kind of lost its original flavor.

Settlers II Gold for me.

Nothing else after it improved the game expereince and i really was not a fan of the cartoon like graphics of the later versions.

I actually like the original Settlers/Serf City most. A shame it isn't here.
