Is there a series or franchise you would like to see games of? Maybe a series you want to see come back? Alternative genres to current games also count.

Dick Tracy - I'd really like a noir style detective story. The villains in this setting are really interesting IMO. I guess you can say I'm a sucker for Dick.

DC Comics - Something that isn't centred around Batman or Harley Quinn would be nice.

D&D - Forgotten Realms is to Dungeons and Dragons, as Batman is to DC Comics. It's a great setting, but WotC focuses way too much on it. They have other great IPs, like Spelljammer, Ravenloft, Dark Sun and Al Qadim. Ravenloft is a great horror themed setting, and Dark Sun is a very unique fantasy setting. I don't think I've ever seen anything like Dark Sun.

Manhunt - We need a 3rd title. More factions, more unique kills, and of course, more violence.

X-Men - I really want a sequel to the Genesis title X-Men 2: Clone Wars. The graphics are pretty detailed for a Genesis game. The platforming and other mechanics are still great. If you haven't played this yet, you are missing out.

Starfinder - I'm hoping this setting gets the same TLC as the Owlcat Pathfinder games.

Starcraft - The lore is ripe for a shooter. There were two scrapped projects for this genre. One is Starcraft: Ghost, where you prance around as blonde eye candy. The second is a shooter involving Tychus Findley. He is re-animated by Mengsk to fight a new type of alien from another galaxy.

Star Trek TNG, with all the original actors for voices - while they're still alive.

That's an interesting suggestion. I'm not very familiar with the series. Is there a specific genre that would best suit the Star Trek universe?

Just a few thoughts off the top of my head...

Series that I would like to see return:

Call of Juarez -- a series that strangely ended one of its best -- and cheapest -- installments (Gunslinger). I still contend that Call of Juarez could have been a big seller... but Techland seems not to care.

Brothers in Arms -- IMO one of the absolute best WWII shooters, but after Gearbox fumbled with the announcement of Brothers in Arms 4 -- which killed that installment -- there's been talk of a sequel but nothing more.

Medal of Honor -- A series that IMO got sidetracked more by politics than by quality... but with the cliff dive of Battlefield... might be just as well.

Risen -- Ok, I'm the one person who loved the pirate theme of 2 and 3! More please!

LA Noire -- At one point there was talk that this would become a series... but didn't happen? Or is that sitting in a drawer at R* with Agent and Bully 2?

I'd like to see a game or series based on the movie Heat... and a good Philip Marlowe mystery / noir

These are great suggestions. The devs who made L.A. Noire (Team Bondi) became insolvent, which is why we likely won't be getting a new title. Brendan McNamara (the studio's director) said the tech to make it is still around. That gives me a sliver of hope for a sequel, but I'm not holding my breath.

The Cobra Dynasty, a book series by Timothy Zahn.

Plot summary: Earth is at war with an alien race. They occupy Earth colonies. To weaken the enemy, Earth develops the C.O.B.R.A. warrior/equipment. The soldiers are designed for guerrilla warfare, are brought to these planets to cause as much disturbance as possible. They have ceramic bones and servomotors enhancing strength and a very limited selection of weapons hidden inside their bones. But the most important thing is that they have a tactics computer in their body that manages defenses.

The books focus more at the time after the war. To prevent the enemy from reprogramming their soldiers the whole thing was designed to be unmodifiable after it was installed. Now humans have soldier veterans running around doing civic jobs with a weapon system that can't be dismantled. They get in a fight or endagered by a car, the system takes over and defends them with deadly force. Because of some accidents all the soldiers and their families are being sent to a remote planet as colonists where they face all kinds of problems, including power struggles and that the soldiers all suffer of decaying bone structure. But still they need to create new ones to defend against the wild. Also the story is quite politic, the planet separates from Earth, allies with the former alien enemy who is not that unfriendly at all. Turns out the reason for the original war was an 'attack' on one of their colonies, a sensor scan which killed many thousands of inhabitants which are sensitive to the radiation used by human sensors, a big misunderstanding.

The game would focus on the guerilla war. A stealth game (the player is strong, but not overpowered) with a targeting and defense system, in combat situation the player would only have to manage what to shoot and not aiming for himself, but having to pay attention to the heat of his weapons. Jumping at the right height to avoid laser barriers, hiding in the crowd would also be important tactics. Gameplay would be focused on information gathering and sabotage missions.

I think the magic system and artefacts in The Stormlight Archive series of books would make a very fun combat in an RPG. Plus there are tonnes of lore with different factions and races.

I'd like to see more games based on the Ravenloft setting as it is very underutilized. There are two games that I can name that use this setting and both are from the DOS era.

Barovia itself feels sorely neglected considering that it is probably the most well known of Ravenloft locations.

I can't stand the Forgotten Realms. I tolerate it for games that are otherwise entertaining, but as a fantasy role-playing setting it feels so broad and generic to me. It's like going to Taco Bell instead of a proper Mexican restaurant.

I would love to have a proper Conan game. Something like Witcher 3, where you just wander around and get into adventures with a lot of hacking and slashing.

A proper attempt at doing some kind of hard-boiled detective fiction would be cool. I don't think anyone has ever really done it right aside from Infocom's The Witness.

A oldstyle RPG in the Warhammer 40k universe, not Hack and slay, but story bases.

Continue Ian Watsons vision of a inquisitor with his team of an assassine, a mechanic, a navigator and a stranded Space Marine who was separated from his chapter uncovering a conspiracy.

Magic system in Mistborn would make for awesome gaming.
Stormlight... That may be too big an ask, find it hard to believe that anyone could possibly do it justice, so rather not see it made a mess of.

How about:
* A Dragon Quest WRPG
* An Ultima JRPG (Ultima 4 NES is something like this, but not fully)
* A new Zelda game in the style of Zelda 2.
* A new Castlevania game in the style of Castlevania 2, though perhaps with better hhints from the townspeople and without the time limit for the best ending.
* An NES Ghostbusters game, but with the characters from the 2016 reboot.
* A sequel to Rogue that *isn't* a roguelike. (In particular, give the game a hand-crafted world with no permadeath or randomization.)
* A Zelda RPG. (Note that I have the requirement that the game be turn-based, and that you control a party of adventurers, not just Link.)
* They're apparently making a Gloomhaven TTRPG. How about a CRPG based on that TTRPG?
* A remake of SaGa 1, except that it's now a 2D platformer. One mechanic idea: You can only carry one weapon at a time. One of the weapons is a saw, which does nothing to normal enemies but instantly kills bosses. However, to use it on the final boss, you need to go through the entire late game, from the time you get the saw, without being able to harm non-bosses. (It would work even on the final boss.)

You could check out Rogue Trader once it releases.


Thought of one more:
* A Castlevania game that's a retelling of Castlevania 3, except that the game would be a metroidvania. You woudl start outside, and have to make your way to the castle. The spirit helpers would be found, and would provide new movement options that would allow the player to progress further.
