ReynardFox: Voted ages ago, If GOG reject this now, they are unsavagably mad.
So, you expect them to reject it? ;-)
Thanks everyone, means a lot!

DoomSooth: Three or four people is not a "raid". It wasn't "a whole flood" of users, because the server you're talking about didn't have that many active users, at the time. Nobody was asked to "raid" you. A request was added in the requests channel to enquire about a possible release, so that's why one of the staff approached you. All of the users there did what they did of their own accord. There was no "raid". You don't want to sell there? That's your decision, but don't make it out to be way more than it was. You asked the users to stop asking you for the game and they did. To say that you were "raided" is melodramatic. They only expressed interest in your game. If anyone was rude about it then I'm not aware of it.

In any case, I bet you wouldn't have minded if you had been "raided" by Steam or any other users about it. Just so you know, I wasn't one of the people that requested the game, and I'm not affiliated with any stores.
I find that you make a lot of assumptions here.

Where does that even come from? Yes, that would have been just a bad. Because group pressure isn't fun to be dealing with, double so when the tone is passive aggressive or even hostile. Why do act like I have a dislike towards Zoom Platform users? Like I said in my previous post, I'm sure it was a vocal minority of the community so I did not want to hold it against Zoom. Which is also what I told a Zoom Platform Staff member after he approached me.

My moderation team is very polite and even had to step in because there was quite a passive aggressive tone when I said that we are currently not interested but might be in the future. It's why the whole thing escalated to the point that someone associated with the company had to step in and ask what was happening in my Discord DM's. It did not stop at 4 people either, I have no idea where you are getting that number from. It even expanded further towards our Twitter page, the DM's of my Community Manager and I, and our own Discord in a public environment.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: The answer you provided was actually a "non-answer answer," and therefore the question was not actually answered.
You say I was giving a "non-answer", but I was perfectly clear here and there was no reason at all for the push to happen.

At the time we were done trying, but have recently decided to give GOG another go. Which is why we're here! Zoom would mean having to maintain 3 platforms, which we currently have no interest in. Which I explained in this thread on multiple occasions

I'm not going to bother responding to the PR part of your message because I don't even know what you want me to say to that.

Unless we can stick with facts and rely less on assumptions because you think you know how I stand in these things, I have no desire to continue this discussion and will choose to ignore it moving further.

Thank you for the persistence despite the struggle with GOG!
Let's hope it works out this time.

But GOG playing dead chicken doesn't really help things.

Hopefully!

Thank you

It is sad to read that you had trouble with users of the Zoom Platform community. I am not surprised by this.

Nevertheless, I support you with another vote on the wishlist. Good luck!

Hey there!
Mihai from Zoom-Platform here.
Just thought I would step in to clarify some things since the thread seems to have gotten a bit heated and our company was mentioned.
Unfortunately we had an incident back in 2020 where some things were lost in the text, as it so often happens when you combine internet discourse with GAMER™ hype.

Like we mentioned before, at no point did we instruct our community to raid the Selaco discord to promote Zoom-Platform. A group of passionate users from our community loved the Selaco previews and decided to try to bring our store to your attention in the hopes you would be interesed. Regardless of how that went off, the last thing anyone wants is to get into drama over misunderstandings.

We've communicated as often as possible that if members of our community want to see something on the store they should bring it to our attention and let us reach out and try to work something out, but excitement and good intentions sometimes lead people to jump the gun.

Dropped a vote on the wishlist. Selaco is a great achievement both technically and in terms of design, and more DRM-free releases are always a good thing, regardless of where the releases go.

Here are my 2 cents.

The game is powered by modified GZDoom engine, it's DRM free by its nature and no storefront launcher can change that. Moreover it's a very nice game for every original Doom lover. Some users just stick to only one store and can't stand anything else, some rich and crazy collectors vowed to purchase the same game on every one of them, hence the game should be provided on as many different stores as possible.

Meaning more coverage for the end users base and more profits. Easy.

Sounds great!
Thanks for your tenacity, I'd have bought the game elsewhere, but gog ist still my go-to online storefront and a release here would be amazing. :)
Patience pays off, once again.
Jesus H. Christ! I'm glad the struggle seems to have paid off finally!

But is that the actual, ordinary "soon" or GOG's variety of "soon"?
I'm getting tired of shooters but I have to say this game looks great.
