A few years ago Sega bought Atlus and, thankfully, has left them alone to keep doing their thing. Recently they've fully integrated Atlus USA into Sega of America, saying their expertise has helped in localizing other games, and all publishing duties in North America going to Sega. Also, they've broken off with NIS America, who until recently had been responsible for publishing Atlus' games in Europe.

Now, speaking to MCV, SVP of commercial publishing John Clark said:

"We're very interested in bringing all of the group's Japanese content not just to the West, but to Europe in particular. We are always trying to find a way. And that's an on-going process. That's something we are continually assessing and talking to and if there are really strong opportunities to support the Japanese content in Europe, we'll do it."

Good news to our friends across the pond. Nothing is definitive yet, but the track record of publishing Atlus games in Europe has been spotty until now, however, having Sega of America publish Atlus' games over here, and cutting ties with NIS America in Europe, does seem like they are opening the channels for Sega Europe to take publishing duties over there. Here's hoping it happens sooner rather than later, and is nothing but an improvement.

Now if only Sega took some of Atlus' games and ported them to PC, that would make my day.
They should start with porting the Shin Megami Tensei series to PC. :)
That sounds promising. :)

So far I've enjoyed almost every Atlus game I've played.
Does this increase the changes we'll see the games on GOG?

On Steam 100% , on Gog 0% .

Can't wait until nisa gets completely dismantled, they can't translate or code.
Actually NISA was the one who ended the partnership with Atlus, not the other way around.
Atlus was was setting condition which were almost impossible for a Niche-Publisher to fulfill.
In the opening-post it sounded like Atlus was the one who ended it, if I misunderstood it: Sorry.
Well, if Atlus finds a European branch in Sega of Europe it'll be nice for us. I hope we get their games around the same time our friends in America do. I want to play Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse and Persona 5 so badly!
