I'd like to ask for Desperados, but I dunno, I just don't feel right not having to do something to earn it without being nominated... Could you give me a puzzle or something for it? If not, is it ethical if I ask for a game to add to a prize pool of a giveaway I'm having/will have?

No IMHO refitting is not ethical if it were it would make trading and gifting super weird.

This is the second time you're considering entering a GA just to get something to re-gift (or trade).
While it's up to each gifter/donor to set the rules, it's generally frowned upon - just think that someone else may have a genuine interest in playing the game, so coming into a running GA and asking for it just to offer it in your own GA... a bit surprised you don't see the problem and have to ask if it's ethical.

I'm also not sure if you're asking for Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive because you're interested in actually playing it or because you want it for a GA of your own, and think that solving a puzzle or something makes it OK.
