Your post made me smile, but the first sentence made me chuckle even :P I'm exactly the opposite of that person in general, but it's something very special in this event, that I'm passionate about - kindness and friendliness of fellow GOGers, as well as their generosity. That's what makes this event basically organizes itself, I'm just a humble Elf ;-)

I think you undersell yourself here, but happy to hear that we are relatively manageable :)

I'm joking, of course! :D

You know, from time to time I browse in past pages of threads (such as the old Secret Santas, or old pages of the Gifting thread, and others), I see many unknown names (to me) and (without having talked to them) I really wonder what happened to all those people. All those avatars. Who were they, and why don't they appear in the forum anymore. Do they prefer Steam over GOG. Do they keep on playing games. Are they even alive. (no question marks here, just rhetorical questions we'll never find the answers to).

I've been absent from GOG for quite some time, as fell out of love with PC gaming, as spend my working life sat in front of a computer, so the last thing I wanted to do at the end of the day was stay sat in front of the computer for a few more hours.

My family has also grown in recent years, with my youngest celebrating his 4th birthday in January, so my priorities for my personal time have changed too.

Having said that, I've got back into PC gaming over the last few months, and it felt like a good time to return to GOG, and the Secret Santa event seemed like a good time to make a dramatic re-appearance, as it's something here that I've made a real contribution to, and it was heart-warming to browse the forum once again, and see that people have carried the torch and continued to make it a wonderful yearly event.

I can guarantee that I have not understood the system.
A translation into German would probably be useful
for people like me.
