I'm in. My wishlist is kinda meager, [url=http://www.gogwiki.com/wiki/User:P1na]in the wiki[/url]. If we get a few more interesting releases before Christmas, it will grow; if we get some cool promos, it will shrink even more. But I'll keep it updated.
I actually like the optional GOG wiki more, because while public, only forum regulars know about it. I don't like to have my stuff public for anyone, but I don't want to go around whitelisting goglodytes. So "anyone who posts around enough to know about the wiki can see my profile" is pretty nice for me.

Hello! What a nice idea for Christmas! This one will be my very first and I am very happy to participate. Here is my [url=http://www.gogwiki.com/wiki/User:Dessimu]wishlist, on GOG wiki[/url]. It's pretty big I think, there are a few movies (mainly I am interested in games), but that gives a very big choice of freedom :)

I'd like to second this. One or two days means we'll have a very narrow timeframe for buying gifts, and the more days we have, the more chance there will be a sale for some of our targets' games, though I'd say go with December 22nd as the last day of submissions instead of 21- give them the entire weekend in case there's a special promo then.

I suggest we do it like the previous year. To quote nmillar:

On Saturday 14 December, everyone who wants to participate will be assigned another participant at random;
Send the gift to [email address to be provided], remembering to put the name of the recipient in the message (so the GOG Secret Santa knows who to send it to) by Saturday 21 December;

This should leave us both enough time for registrations and buying presents. It should also give the organizer and the elves enough time to prod naughty Secret Santas and cover any last-minute difficulties.

Take a look at last year's event - leaving more time between deadlines (there are more than one) will work better for all parties.

Keep in mind that if previous years are anything to go by, GOG's big Winter Sale will start around Dec 12, so the first deadline (entries with wishlists) could be on or around that date. You could then use the weekend to assign people to each other and send out the PMs. If the next deadline is set around Dec 20-21, peeps will have around a week to stuff their bag of gifts and send it to you. This would give you a few days to sort out potential glitches before Xmas Day.

I'd also like to point out that I'm not in favour of sending gift codes to your email from the checkout page, as GOG discloses the email address that the gifter uses on GOG in the email the recipient gets.
nmillar allowed PMs for this part too, that's how I did it in past years, and it's something I'd like to be able to do for this year's event.

Well, there should be of course some options, like public even for non-registered users, only for registered users, only for certain people etc.

I understand where you're coming from, but I really think this is a feature which has to come from GOG.
