We would have had a problem if I was your chancellor and you shot ZFR. Did you consider creating a conflict with Lift? You would of have to have done if . Well played anyway, you were the only fascist player I didn't twig and I was trying to buddy upto you after thinking you were Liberal.

Don't feel bad, it's a team effort and your team didn't manage to convince you they were Liberal. Your list of candidates for Chancellor is the most analytical players for the most part. You wanted to pick players who weren't Hitler and you did a good job. Everyone assumed Hitler would be lurky but if I was lurky people would wonder why.

Your theory to test Lift wasn't necessarily bad because it relied on Lift taking a big risk and passing a Liberal policy. It then became very unlikely a fascist would be picked next (well you nearly picked me). But let's say you pick a Liberal you'd have won the game.

Actually am I hearing right that you drew LL on Pookas turn? Because that would mean you could have won the game by passing LL as you only needed one more policy at that stage.

Ahh well fine lines. I was actually going to PM Zeo at 3-0 and ask 'Do Fascists even win this game'.

It wasn't that promising. You got to 3-0 but Lift and Trent got confirmed. Then as the game goes on it becomes more likely FFF draws happen. So a Liberal drew FFF in RTCVB. And both Pooka and Lift did maybe discard Liberal cards

Early F's would have certainly made both parties suspect. So logically i outlined everyone would pass L's til 3 were out, since the odds become far more likely for 3F's that they could hide or just let F's come out naturally..

So assuming they had gotten 2-3 F's at the beginning, yeah no one would have trusted those picks.

I still say 10 is too many people, unless they extend the game. Also this wasn't intended for forum play, so... *shrugs*

If RCVB drew an L card you would have gone to 4-2 and Lift couldn't pass an F card. That also made you suspect him, which was good for us. If it's 4-2 Lift doesn't even get into office as it doesn't matter if Hitler is Chancellor.

I think I was the first with the 'None Hitler Player' theory. And it made sense and you ran with it. I think as a Liberal I'd go with it too. Because of that we were able to eliminate SPF, Flub and Blutunga from the voting pool. And Joe had been tarnished

Trent seemed very Liberal too until he killed you. Even to the extent that he pushed for things that would help the Liberals over the Fascists like asking for Lift to investigate Pooka. He kind of bussed Lift early on too.

Did you know from the start you were going to pass the 4th L when I selected you. Or was it a decision you made when you got the cards. Whom did you expect me to pick next. You knew that after passing the 4th L, if I pick a liberal for my next government, there was a good chance you lose.

I'd also like to know when lifthrasil decided to pass L. I've privately wondered if he was too embarassed to go F after I made my outburst and had everybody thinking I was fascist.



I'd like that. I'd have to work out a place to set up a webcam or skype or whatever it is, but it'd be fun. I'm also interested to hear people's accents, that'd be interesting.

the endgame is in two halves so you might have missed it. Everybody voted YES but me who voted JOE (and, if I was forced to pick I'd probably have gone with YES too. Pooka's contingency plan for the next government was a nice touch.)

Some post game thoughts... it's probably no secret that I ceased finding the game in any way engaging after a few weeks due to the pace. I'm not sure there's much to be done to improve that, I don't think Secret Hitler is as well suited to online play as mafia. I've learned my lesson, I won't take up a spot that could have an active player next time.
Even more obscure, my avatar was a 1950s Charles Atlas magazine ad. Mr Apollo's spoken sections are basically a parody of the Charles Atlas adverts with all the sand-kicking bullies.


No, you just suck. I've been saying for years we should cover Mr Apollo at the folk club. I think you'd be excellent in the role of Mr Apollo (i.e. Viv Stanshall's bits). Especially while wearing an accordion.

I'm just sorry that scene managed to convince zfr that I might be Hitler. I still don't understand why he hasn't shot Pooka, whom he knew for sure to be scum. Pooka buddying up to me was a winning move though for scumteam because he turning out scum and naming me scum would've cleared me. Anyway it was too long at times and I kinda slacked at some point and then in the end I could do nothing more.
Sorry Joe for not believing you but Lift passing the 4th L was also brilliant. I got suspicious only after the scene/lift and the unwitting zfr ganged up on me. Pooka's vote against my presidency was suspicious to me, but apparently to nobody else. Also in the end both rtcb and flub were liberal too. So much for me thinking rtcb Hitler blundering.

Did you see my suggestion to play a full Secret Hitler play through at a scheduled time? We could probably play it in about an hour but we'd all have to commit to a time. I agree it's slow paced as it is.

And since we're asking questions:

Why did you choose a fellow scum as your chancellor, knowing there is only one F card left and you'll be passing a fascist policy anyway?

Why did you select a liberal from the end of the queue as your chancellor first? And then change to a fellow fascist?

So if I was President I was actually going to hide an Liberal card and claim FFF. I didn't think I could risk going to 4-2

I was gutted when you asked for a reshuffle and I dropped to 6th. That's partly why I panicked when you nominated Joe and accused you of being fascist, which annoyed Trent, which made me tone it in a bit. When I wasn't in the first 2 governments I thought I was done

But yes Lift passes L with Agent, RT-CB hopefully with Scene to 'test him' pass L, Scene who is pressured to take Trent pass L, Agent and Trent pass F, claim FFF or claim their Liberal partner burred the L. To make it 2-2. Then investigate an up coming Liberal who they discover is Fascist.

We then need to skip to Joe-Scene to go 3-2. Then we goto Lift-RTCB and go 3-3. Then Scene President who tests Joe. Scene either gets ballsy to go 3-3 or claims he drew FFF and in truth I think I would of panicked and played the latter. So 3-3 and Scene kills someone his scumbuddies investigated if he can figure out whos who.

And then it's based on who the Liberals trust.

I was never going to select flub, I had to give the appearance of discussing options and taking advice. Blotunga helped immensely when he wanted me to select someone coming up sooner ;-)
