But we've really had time to discuss it, and it's not like the fact that Joe's government failed changed anything. So with people complaining that the game is slow already I just wanted to act fast.

I see. I think my surprise at the speed of the selection came mostly from a difference in play-style. I like to take things one step at a time and talk about nominations when it is time to do so and not while another government is still being discussed. I think I even said so several times during the play. So I guess when you discussed your Pooka nomination I was still preoccupied with arguing against the Joe government, after your joke-YES announcement made me worry.

But what's done is done and you're right. It can't hurt to speed up the game a bit more. And I already voted. :-) Let's hope that the 'Pooka most likely isn't Hitler' conclusion was correct.

But that makes me wonder, why waste a bullet on someone confirmed NOT to be Hitler? If I get elected as chancellor and (inevitably) I get to enact a policy, this is a sure fire sign that I'm not the person you really should be executing.

Remember that the fascists are the minority. You can more or less soft-exclude confirmed or semi-confirmed ones (like we have been doing with Joe). Just this fact severely undermines their power.

I agree with Pooka. If Pooka is not Hitler and a confirmed fascist, he's pretty much harmless. Instead we could remove Joe, who if fascist has now 33% chance of being Hitler. Or rtcvb. Or blotunga (would fascist!Pooka confirm a vanilla liberal? Is this why flub wanted blotugna so strongly?).

But that's neither here nor there. This discussion I'm fine with postponing and only taking should the need arise.

Seems like this will end one way or the other. I am almost inclined to vote note. Pooka confirmed me and yet he voted against my government. That in my eyes made him a prime Hitler suspect. I already said that I don't like the idea of pooka Chancellor, would've preferred a trent chancellor instead.
So if we loose, I can safely say: told you so.

ZFR doesn't matter in this case. Pooka investigated me so knows I'm L, yet he voted no.

OK. We have a good chance that that discussion won't be necessary, after all. If you draw an L and Pooka is Liberal, the game ends.

If Pooka is Liberal, the Fascists are in a nice bind now. We are at the 'vote YES or risk a random policiy' stage again. The random policy has a 83% chance of being F. So it's clear that every Liberal should vote YES. Unless he has strong reasons to believe that Pooka is Hitler. So if Pooka is Liberal, the Fascists now have to either come forward with a strong Pooka=Hitler case or they have to vote YES against their own cause or reveal themselves by voting NO without a good cause.

So if you vote NO you're F. If you come forward with a strong pooka=hitler case you're F.

So if Pooka is L then those who vote no are F.

And if Pooka is F then let's-not-think-about-it.
