Was sent the same code.

I'm not really sure this it a path I'd like to see the platform take, to be honest, hidden sales for certain parts of the community.

I don't see it as much different than special discounts for owners of games in a series or previous games by a specific developer.
If you don't have Pillars of Eternity Definitive Edition(I do:) -50% is a new lowest price , right?

You sure about this one? I see it as $12.49 CDN and I'm sure I've seen that price in a sale before.
I don't see anywhere to input any codes????
I did not receive any mail, and I already have several hours played of Gwent.

I'm not sure how I feel about any of this, exclusive discounts for Gwent players on games that have nothing to do with Gwent, or sharing those discounts with others. I mean, logic dictates that at least one of those should be wrong.
Thanks GOG for the email with discounts, even if many are no cheaper than they have been before. At least the discount is cheaper than they are now, and some are indeed the cheapest yet.

BUT ... you gave no real explanation in the email, and you made it painful to check the games in question out (look at them), as none of the listed games have a store link, either in the email or in the resulting REDEEM page after going through the Captcha hoop.

That meant I had to copy the title and use the GOG search to get to each game to check it out.
You could have made it a lot less painful.

I still love you though, and hope you will do better next time.

On a personal preference note, I think it would be better to create web pages for the two groups of games, with clickable links for each game, and just provide the REDEEM CODES and a link to those two listing pages in the email. The Captcha should really come later, when we have decided on a game. Be a whole lot less painful

Cheers

GR00T: I don't see it as much different than special discounts for owners of games in a series or previous games by a specific developer.
I see a difference though, at least as compared to the loyalty discounts that are openly communicated to anyone interested in making such a purchase (e.g. in the "buy series" box with a marked discount on GOG game pages). Even when the communication isn't that good, such loyalty schemes are at least expected and fairly easy to predict. By contrast, I don't see any public indication of a discount code or coupon on GWENT's game page. So it really is a hidden, secret reward. I can understand why people would consider it unfair or annoying.

Now I don't think gamers should be entitled to all discounts ever, and it really annoys me when people complain & demand refund for a game that went on discount a week or two after they purchased it at base price. If companies want to do targeted discounts on markets where sales are not so good, why the heck not? If they want to boost sales with a limited time discount, again why not.. But secret favoritism or buying likes, follows, retweets, etc. in exchange for discounts or lotteries does not earn much respect from me.

Too bad it's only for the base Torment Tides of Numenera.

Would it be wrong to share a giveaway on Reddit on these forums too?

They are generic discount codes. They are not exclusive to Gwent players although the E-mails might have been sent only to us. Given how the GoG E-mail servers have often proved problematic, sometimes with people receiving E-mails to a promo that was already over and the fact this promo lasts less than 3 days, it seems "logically" prudent to me to share this with other forum members. Why do you feel you need to rain on everyone's parade lately?
I failed the self-control test by buying three games (Banner Saga 1&2 and Pyre).
