MaxeMaxer: I generally wait until the end of a sale and reassess my cart to prevent impulsive buying behaviour and overspending.
And it worked! Better than you could have hoped.

Blue balls buying,
save, but crying
What do you mean that GoG does not support "direct debit" transactions with PayPal?

My PayPal is linked to my bank account. When paying with PayPal, i select that account, and PayPal automatically pulls money from my account. And yes, i am using them long enough to actually trust PayPal to not misuse that privilege.
There is never any balance on the PayPal account directly, i think i never actually recieved money via PayPal.

That works *almost anywhere*, and just fine here on GoG. Ages ago i encountered a site, a single site, that required a credit card linked to PayPal. But that was one of the rare exceptions i encountered.

Paypal = gaypal.

If gog went back to having sales end at a sensible time instead of lunchtime it would be better.

Yes, I mean the Lastschrift/Bankeinzug option PayPal offers.

Oddly enough, it didn't work for me on GOG at the time, even though I wasn't a new PayPal user, but it worked and still works just fine on Steam and most other sites.

§pectre: Paypal = gaypal.
Doesn't that just mean happy, elated in the Queen's English?

Personally, I'd go with Paygal. Night ladies, but more direct and whimsical.

I agree with that statement, but unfortunately, it's a cancer that has metastasised all across the internet.

Just the trillionth example that gay is supposed to be synonymous with bad.
You had more than two weeks to buy those games.

That might be the case, but, unless i'm understanding the OP wrong, his issue is that, even though it came down to the wire, the sudden jump in price should come with an adequate warning. My experience in this matter is, once the shopping cart is set, you can get the games at the stated price even if the sale has been over for several minutes. However, things could've changed. I think the crux of the issue, here, is that the prices changed mid-purchase. Sure, we could say it's unwise, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's wrong, here.

Eh, people in PA, at least, say it all the time. Gay people more so, probably 'cause they're not afraid of being called homophobes. XD

The word gay has more than one meaning, actually.....it can mean happy/elated, and also something that is dumb as well.

Can attest to this, as i'm LGBT and use it a decent amount of times.

How long does your lunchtime last? The sale was on from the 16th until the 4th.
