Granted we might aswell add how afew years back the so called ''SJW's'' had decided if someone willing agreed to have sex but then later on decided they regret it or some other crude no logical thinking human would think of being actual rape (when talking both full blown adults )that are sober and all that) is some form of Rape I can see other country people confused and unsure of specific terms and such and getting conflicting info

There actually is when people keep adjusting terms that mean one in books and tries to make them mean something that don't mean what they are truly by pushing it as a different thing.. Aswell as when countries use the same words as not bad things yet other countries see the terms as bad.. Aswell as concent laws and whats seen as age of consent in different places are a convoluted mess even the US has a mess like that where different states have different legal ages of consent and different legal ages for sex .. Its just in most countries there is one age a country has that is seen as the ''norm '' for things rather then a hard rule of sorts

Dave Sim wasn't canceled, he just completely went off his rocker. His loss of viewership was a natural consequence of going stark raving mad.

Scott Adams wasn't canceled, he just had to deal with the trouble of not being able to shut his mouth and stop talking; his loss of viewership was a 1-2 combo of becoming unfunny and the fringe parts of himself leaking into the fore.

Captain Jack Harkness wasn't canceled. Your "cute habit" only remains "cute" so long. [Content: This is about allegations of sexual abuse. Tread lightly.]

A lot of people hate to see their stars fall, and they do weird awful mental gymnastics to try and justify how things which at the time of current society, are insurmountably idiotic things to say, simply "couldn't have been faux pas".

He wasn't cancelled, or whatever buzzword the right wants to use today. He is free to sell his games wherever, nobody is preventing him from doing that. He is free to say whatever he wants, nobody is denying him that right. He is free to donate the maximum amount to people who actively worked against the interests of the very fans who supported Scott, and now feel betrayed due to his hypocrisy. This is a man who nobody censored or took rights away from.

He wasn't cancelled. He made his bed and didn't want to lie in it.

I agree. People don't owe you their business.

As you say, "cancel culture" is a buzzword for something that has always happened. Used to be that people got "cancelled" when they were outed as gay or a communist or whatever else. The only reason the right has had to invent a name for it is because it's started happening to them.

That XKCD page is widely discredited.

Right at the start it tries to conflate free speech with the 1st amendment and they can't even get that point right with the amount of collusion between the state and private companies. Also is the BLM link he has at the top of the cartoon meant to be ironic now?
