This quasi-horror series is getting handed off to who knows, but will it mean the end of his riches? Who knows!

Do you have any particular thoughts towards the series, his retirement, or otherwise?

Considering his reasons for retiring, I'll abstain from comment. It was trash games that were a hot fad for a few years. Good riddance.

I never played or cared for FNAF because of all the jumpscares, but it's sad to see someone lose their entire career over this. People's gender, race, religion, political affiliation, etc. don't prevent them from making good games for others. It's a private US citizen's right to support whatever political party or movements they want so long as no laws are being broken - even if others may disagree. Shame on those who doxxed, cancelled, and uttered death threats online - those people are the real criminals here.

Never heard of it. Though looking at the first few comments on that page, I can see why. Nothing about the games at all, just the usual battle for supremacy which everything seems to be nowadays.

Trash games indeed.

Can't say I really care as FNAF and everything about it is cancer, but it's sad we're now in a world were your political beliefs that get you effectively removed from the internet. And I'm not talking about this guy saying stuff which you know will get you into trouble like unironic racism and threats of violence, this guy has literally been cancelled for giving money to mainstream politicians, that's it.

I probably wouldn't agree with Scott or the people he supported on many things.
But i'm sick and tired of all the "cancel culture" stuff.
Criticize and/or make fun of people's opinions etc. all you want,
but when the torches and pitchforks come out,
and you demand people crawl into the shadows and disappear,
because apparently you are so superior...
You're not worth listening to anylonger.

Never cared about the FNAF games, always personally found them overrated.

But about his retirement it is sad to see the same toxic assholes pushing yet another dev to retire.

The prerendered graphics looked nostalgic.
He should release his games for free so I can see what all the fuss was.

Before he did the Five Nights at Freddy's games, he made a couple of relatively simple RPGs called The Desolate Room and The Desolate Hope, which are available for free. I remember thinking they were interesting and with pretty slick presentation relative to a lot of freeware games.

Thanks for the game name! I couldn't remember it. I quite enjoyed the Desolate Room. I remember being surprised the first time at the battle graphics and animations.

I'm continually amazed that those promoting "cancel culture" don't understand that they have in fact become that which they fought.

Thanks.
I found the second game. The first one looks a little basic.

Unless that's what they were all along.

p.s I found a free version of it called Ultimate custom night which looks like a basic version of the game with a load of different animatronics.
