Yeah. Like i said, i doubt they'd pursue, but he knowingly made a false, actionable allegation (defines it as "hyperbole" later) an with demonstrable malice. Given the US law for that is based on UK law, I believe that if they have a UK office they have pretty solid case, just might not be worth it if only looking for monetary incentive.

Don't think anybody should push this, but people start stupid lawsuits nonstop.
Another reason to don't be disrespectful to others even if they are not present.
Imho this could even have a case in Hungary based on defamation/slander on public place in front of mass of people.
And the "victim" is not a public figure.

I think a court would rule that they are a public figure, even if they normally wouldn't otherwise. But, yeah, the only reason to pursue would be to send a message. All the people talking about the "reasonable limits" to free speech, and consequences, etc, should be aware that this is a bidirectional door. We should probably stop organizing into "teams" and trying really, really hard to score points, because it can end up pretty frivolous pretty quickly, and we just saw all kinds of ridiculous games over COVID and our economy that were based on political teams and not on facts. I know some young people who used to be healthy before this whole ordeal, and these stupid little narcissistic games are affecting people in more permanent ways. People need to learn to keep things to words, too, instead of actions. Seems the only way this is going to happen is if enough action is taken that people on both sides and those whom don't have a side get so sick of it all that we come to agree in a separation between actions and words.
I wouldn't be too surprised, but I have no confirmation of that. I do know of one user who admitted openly on the forums that they are using one on me, though.

EDIT: I just got evidence, not proof, that indeed the one you refer to is also using one on me. It's pretty easy to identify.
