DRM free futuristic first person shooter open world RPG.

I will play it once on monster laptop : ) (months) after years of waiting, anyone with sufficient device power will play it, just to check what is this game and if nomads working in corpo are streetwise.

How does old and new Tomb Raider compare with HZD? Is the combat and control better/worse?

Havent had the chance to play any of the Tomb Raiders but I found HZD ok. The combat wasnt bad, good variety of enemies, and the open world was beautiful. Didnt really like the story or the fact that Alloy never really became super strong at the end despite the implication that she was supposed to.

Keanu Reeves wasn't disappointed by it. Because, despite what the CDPR boss claimed, he never actually played it :D

I am not surprised, all the reviewers at the time didn’t play it either. Hopefully his involvement with CDPr and cyberpunk won’t damage his career, he has done many great films.

People act like it's the biggest failure ever. People act like it's the most broken game ever. People act like it's the reason why they'll never per-order another game again. Good lord people. It's not that important of a game. I say the game is fine. Not great, not terrible, just fine. It's a solid 5/10. Biggest failure ever, no this isn't even close to Vurtual Boy levels. Most broken game ever, no this isn't an Elder Scrolls or Fallout day 1 unpatched levels of broken. You will pre-order another game because you never learn.

Buy games on discount and after other people you know have played it first because you can always say "At least I didn't pay full price for this bag of shit".

True, and as noted before matrix 2 and 3 were pretty bad, continuing the downward trend of those films?
It is a pretty massive failure though, this is the point. You have the game itself, which lacks half the content promised, contained huge bugs (foliage popping, skills not working, stealth not working, collision meshes blocking shooting, lack of any decent ai) all of which shows a rushed and bad product. The. You have the companies actions, lying, buying reviews, paying themselves vast bonuses, was there also something about pushing staff as well - not sure. Then there is the fact that Sony pulled it from their store in one of the highest profile pulls for a long time. Then we can also put into that mix the damaging impact this has had on gog, not to mention CDPrs pushing of online only games, online gating, microtransaction etc. into the gog store. Frankly I don’t see how there can be any light in this whole situation? Sure they maybe patch the game up to be mediocre as you say (I thought after patching maybe 4 or 5 out of 10 too), but it’s still not going to change all of what has happened. CDPR have lost reputation and respect across the industry and gaming world. This is why I will not go near anything from them again, and also contributes to boycotting gog at the moment.

CDP raised expectations sky high. More than half of the game budget was spent on marketing, and that was reflected in the "finished" product, which was clearly unfinished. And they hid the fact that the game was unplayable on older consoles. And then bonuses.

Let's be clear, this isn't just a failure, it's extremely damaging to the company.
