Okay, in case that you get additional bonus (in for of additional software or discount) I guess it is sometimes understandable - but it is really often that such bonus does not exist and people still do preorder.

Well yeah: in cases where people pre order a digital version with no such bonuses, I don't see why they can't just wait and buy on launch day(or ideally a bit after, when more honest reviews/let's plays/etc come out).

Yeah it needs DLSS to run at a consistent 60fps from what I've seen, which is a bummer for those with pre-2000 or AMD cards. I think that's a very separate discussion from how "good" the game is though. Crysis still has trouble with 60fps on a modern machine because of processor limits, but it's still one of my favorite games.

Well, I beg to differ. If this game really needs DLSS to run at 60FPS on LOW and 1080p - something is very wrong.

The 1060 is a five year old card. How well did a 5 year old PC run Quake or Crysis? I don't think people are used to that kind of technology movement anymore, but it's not unheard of. Either way I don't think it matters when discussing how good the game is.

It is badly optimized that's the reason why. The 1060 can handle Metro Exodus but not CP2077? And I am not talking about high or even mid settings, I am talking about LOW on 1080p - that's nothing! Why are you defending such badly optimized software?

I said the game isn't that buggy on PC. You keep bringing up performance, which I don't think is at all the same thing. I'm trying to engage with you on said performance, but then go back to it not being an impact on whether the gameplay is good or not. I think they're very separate things.

Also "X game plays great but Y doesn't" is a silly thing people say, they're completely different engines doing different things. When you play Cyberpunk I think it's pretty obvious why it's such a demanding game at higher settings. Would be nice if it was more optimized for 5 year old hardware, but again that's a pretty common PC issue.

If a game has quite a few bugs AND underperforms that is a reason for me to not buy it. If it has not so many bugs but still underperforms it is also a reason for me not to buy it and to criticise it.

AT HIGHER SETTINGS! You said it yourself. I am talking about LOW and also pretty low resolution (since for today 1080p is not considered high anymore). But yeah, go ahead and say that it is perfectly okay for a game that does not look that expressive to underperform on LOW. I simply don't agree.

For you, I am guessing, is what you mean. Have you asked others you know about their own experiences on PC, or looked into the experiences of other PC players to see if they're more or less the same?

Also just because it might not be so buggy on PC, doesn't mean that the title isn't buggy overall/in general.

Thing is, though, bethesda elder scrolls games are usually produced in a shorter time frame......CDP/CDPR had a markedly longer time frame to work with, and still produced a buggy(for some people) product.

Just because it's common, doesn't mean the issue can't be changed or that it should stay that way.
