Yeah dude but you have to actively search for those unsafe sites even now. I mean nobody's forcing shady pornsites, pirated warez sites etc. in your face so you have no choice but to go there. Let alone darkweb hardcore illegal stuff.
Most people never get to anything actually "unsafe".

Lol yes (well not so much lol for his victims and their relatives). People who introduced the terms get to define them. To define a term, you need to (1) ascertain there would be no confusion in natural language, and (2) show that there's something identifiable in real life which can be described by it. (Over the weekend, a Russian man got drunk and tore off his infant daughter's head because he mistook her for a doll. That's not something which regularly happens and thus it doesn't warrant a special term beyond 'crazy' and 'alcoholic'.)

Elliot Rodger on the other hand is a specific type of crazy person, an "incel" (shithead who can't get laid) who blames "whores" for being too prudish (dafuq) and men for being better than him. AND there's a whole community of these shitheads. Hating women is misogyny, and killing people for their gender is gender terrorism. Unlike e.g. the Pulse shooter who pledged allegiance to both ISIS and Hezbollah but was actually angry about not getting laid, there's no ground to assume Elliot Rodger made up his reasoning (not getting laid).
This thread quickly went to hell :(

Admittedly, but even if only one person writes an email to the politicians in Brussels it was worth it. Not everyone that lives and works in that technocrat bubble is completely corrupt, but the only people around there that provide them with information are the lobbyists. So it`s important to cut through that moneyswamp now and then.
And even an actually working democracy depends on active citizens that fry the politicians asses whenever they intend to do something idiotic or horrible.

The people behind TOR would disagree.
In essence the price of freedom is insecurity; and a people who give up a little freedom for a little security will deserve neither and lose both.

Do you want whistle-blowers to uncover state funded murder (in things such as negligent health care, failings in their duties of care to properly equip soldiers, corrupt selloffs of things like roads leading to criminal mismanagement of maintenance)?

The price is having a hard time tracking less systemic crime like hit-men, drug peddlers & pedophiles.
Systemic being used in this case to indicate from within a system, such as our established watch dogs and over arching government.

If you are more afraid in today's world of of the afore mentioned criminal types it is because you have benefited from the luxury of unsanctioned transparency that privacy & the freedom of association has wrought.

I'm sure the people who suffered from the wasting death during WWII would of preferred to have them during Stalins reign even if the price had been today's perceived level of terrorism.

As already mentioned, the /s usually shows that the post is sarcastic. Read shadowstalker16's post again with that in mind, and see if your reply still stands.

my viewpoint still stands on it merits if with unknown sarcasm rending it's espouse a moot point to the poster.
Sarcasm is not something that is readily apparent on the internet & /s is not a widely accepted form to denote it; in fact something as short as /s is easily mistaken as a general typing error and I would posit -sarc to be more functional in use.
Technically speaking it's not even sarcasm it's irony. -sarc
