Do you like the little elves that operate in Santa's workshop - or the taller, fantasy type elves you find in D&D and the LotR novels?

It's a close one for me, but I'll go with Santa's elves. They pretty much give you free stuff...in theory. I haven't gotten anything from them yet.

Santa elves for sure, fantasy elves ought to get exterminated.

But who will protect us from orcs? Santa and his buddies can't do that.

Fantasy elves. I know them from decades ago when I was young and read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. And the DnD elves from my teenage years decades ago. That there's such a thing as Santa's elves I only heard about this year. But I guess it's something from 'Across the Pond'.

I think the fantasy elves would win just because they're always depicted killing something with magic or arrows or swords. As much as my heart goes out to the thralls of the fat man, I do not think toymakers are prepared to deal with an organized effort of immortal hippie warriors.

I'm a dwarf guy, myself :P They're a menace to society. Last week I saw one jaywalking. I think Santa's elves would at least put up a fight. They're good at building stuff, so they can build a fortress; as well as any weapons and armour they might need. The fantasy elves would also suffer from attrition, as they have to cross what is basically a frozen desert with no food.

I like those Santa elves, whenever I catch one it's always a nice little snack for my Komodo dragons.

I remember reading some funny novel once, about Santa's elves being real badass mofo's, entering hell itself full "gung ho" style, to rescue some poor soul...I think the novel must have been part of some "Story Bundle"?

Going by that story - Santa's elves would definitely wipe the floor with fantasy elves.

But where would we be without comic elves ?
