The MaGOG search tool is a possible replacement for the spreadsheet.

It can tell you whether the game is game is on sale and whether it is the best price, but it seems to be missing the best price history, which tells us

a) Whether this is the first time the best price has been offerred (green category)
b) When the last time the same best price was.

gogdb can't help, as its price history hasn't been updated in several years.

It has no colour coding either, so you either need to read each entry and compare sale discounts, or restrict the search to best price only to quickly scan the old green/yellow categories.

That being said, it isn't the most user friendly solution. It is written as a thin wrapper to the query engine, almost as if the user was writing SQL queries themselves.

ciemnogrodzianin: For those who wants similar tool – I recomment GG.Deals. You can import your wishlist and collection, they offer a lot of smart pre-defined filters and they also allow to define and save personal filters, which means you can easily get the same effect as in spreadsheet. As there is also notification system, the service gives you also a choice – to check the deals manualy or to rely on e-mail messages informing you about any interesting discount (e.g. filtered to only % higher then the last one).
Thanks - I wasn't aware of that site. I'm going to experiment with it for a while to see if it suits my needs.

I am also user of IsThereAnyDeal, which is also great, but I find GG Deals as much more convenient. It does not need any manual effort, allows me to import both collections and wishlists and personal filters helps me to make it very GOG-centric. I hope you'll find there features you're looking for.

Mortius1:
MaGOG also is restricted by the legacy mode, games added less than a year ago won't show up. And you have the best sale and last sale percentages and the date, and price changes, but if there was a price change since the best discount in terms of percentage, the actual best price may not be what the listed values would seem to indicate.

fronzelneekburm: That's the spirit! Let's turn that frown upside down! :-)
Just to be clear I never really had issues with RWarehall and appreciated his sales spreadsheet work, but also stayed out/skimmed way past the arguments. Me posting ":-D" was just to be ironic given all the arguing before my post, but maybe you already figured that out :P

Just wanted to say I hope he comes back as I know he worked hard on the spreadsheet and it was valued by so many users. And not to side-track the discussion, but since random stuff was being cast my way earlier, I wanted to say I always engaged in good faith discussion. Think of me what you want, but please know I was always engaging in good faith even if I disagreed or may have seemed a little snarky. Come back soon, RW. If you hurry, you'll make it in time for the release of Vendetta: Curse of Raven's Cry! ...See, that last part is just goodnatured snarkiness, at least that's my intent.

sanscript: Same was that damned whining about Grimoire. Don't come here talking about juvenile behavior, you and rjbuffchix are among the worst when it comes to juvenile behavior! When he provided a fact you slashed him with noise. Seriously, you gang-banged him. Any sane person would be pissed.
Doesn't matter, had se---ok but seriously, I really feel I have to address your comment even beyond alluding to it above. Yes, he did provide facts, but when questioned about their relevance, the discussion completely broke down. I provided relevant criticisms and questions, which is part of discussion, particularly when people don't agree on something. Not "noise". The post is now modded so I guess I can't prove this, but he had literally said in one post for me to "die in a fire". That's not immature, it's positively incendiary :) I ignored it and tried to keep discussion going, r*porting isn't my style. Like I said, I hope he comes back.

If he wants to come back and get along with everyone i'm also willing to "bury the hatchet" and be civil in return, and welcome him back with open arms.....and yeah, he did good for many people, so I hope he comes back at some point(if he works on his issues, that is).
Sad to see the spreadsheet gone.
It would be amazing if anyone has saved it as an .xls file recently and can make it accessible to fellow gog-users temporarily.
To whom might find it useful or wants to pick up the mantle, a friend found a copy of the (probably) last published version:

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10mirC6BdqHvf6IxpTLgR81x4J6J81IfBJM6rLEohD-M/edit

If you want to post this elsewhere, please make a copy instead of linking.
