Sad to see GOG stoop to the cheesy gambling practice of selling mystery packs which contain supposedly random items that have a small chance of any of them being of any value equal to or above the selling price.

I thought GOG was based on giving gamers value, not the hyped up excitement and/or desperation of gambling.

God, I'm sick of seeing threads like this. It's very simple, if you don't like the Pinatas, just don't buy any. It's not like GOG is forcing you do to so.

And if you don't want to gamble, there is still the normal sale, where you can buy indie games with discounts between 30% - 80%.
GoG has been doing this for awhile with mystery bundle packs, tho this has been the flashiest of the marketing so far. It appeals to alot of people who enjoy the risk. I personally am not a fan tho I have bought one or two in the past for curiosity.

If you dont want to participate just skip it, as you can get the specific games you want on sale frequently through out the year. It's not as bad as the RNG loot boxes in micro transaction games where the most elite weapons/armor or rare vanity items are given out via gambling boxes. That gimmick drove me away from more than a few online games. In other words, the pinatas arent a game breaker here.
Have you been absent for the last 4 and a half years that you've since been registered here? (apparently so).

I recall since i've joined, this isn't the first time they've done this... I remember getting extra copies of Zombie shooter 1&2 as i recall... What was it, luck of the Irish? Leprechaun luck deals at $2 per game?

Sad to see you started a thread to express your dissatisfaction with the current sale without checking the facts first, thus resort to false accusations to support your opinion.

Which of the listed games has a nominal price of $3?

I liked that. Think I spent nearly $100 on those haha!

There's also the mutator deals, too.

OP is talking about "value" and not about the base price on GOG. And we all know the "value" of indies since IndieHumbleGalaRoyalBundleStars (or whatever it is called ;P ) exists...

tl;dr: Just another dude thinking games are worth less than $1

It's a lot easier to blow money on titles that are more mindless fun, or you already know have fewer downs i suppose... I remember going in for 5 more games, 5 more games, 5 more until it told me 'yeah any more games and you'll have them all so if you really want to continue' and i said 'yes please!' and got a few i threw into giveaways later...

Man, now i can't even remember what was on that list... except for the zombie/alien shooters...

How could you forget Groupies?!?

If he thinks that, then, regardless of type of sale/ promo, he's definitely on the wrong store.

Could be worse... We could be stuck on an insomnia sale with 3,000 copies of Jack Keane 2 that MUST be sold before the next game opens up as an option...

Easy: I'm not into PWYW bundles at all. I don't even have accounts on any of these sites O.O
I don't like the gamble, either, so they won't see a dime from me. Vote with your wallet.
