The actual fuck is wrong with you GOG?

The Russian people are not the ones invading another country, and the ones that are? They are are not going to be concerned about whether they can buy video games from your podunk store.

Also, don't forget, don't have any political discussion here.

GOG's hypocrisy is fucking staggering at this point.

No one will recognize the puppet, and the UN will not accept a negotiation that cedes territory from a Russian puppet government.

When the war reaches the hill country, Russia will stall. Their economy will fall to pieces long before ours will. They will have to chose whether to mortgage their country to China, or to negotiate with the west for the lifting of sanctions.

Because % of taxes would mean nothing if GOG's money can't reach Russia. Which means that they could still be selling games for russia and belarus, the taxes just wouldn't reach Russia anyway because of the Swift actions or Im talking madness?
All I can say is what the article says. I don't know what GoG qualifies as . Either way...It's a shitty move. People won't forget and GoG is hurting itself.

Not doing business in Russia is a proper anti-war statement, and every multinational business should do the same.

I'm honestly asking for details and explanation, as this is the first probable objective reason someone presented.
Apart from income taxes, whenever you sell any goods in Russia, you have to pay VAT, like in most of Europe. Of course VAT is part of the price, so in the end, the Russian customer pays it. But GOG as a company would have to transfer the money to Russian treasury.

So when McDonald's is selling burgers in Russia, it also helps support Russian invasion with tax money.

In the end, the less tax money Russia gets, the shorter this war will be.

That I know. My question is, if many countries blocking Russia exchanges (many banks, IIRC not all banks are blocked, right?) would prevent said taxes to reach Russia government and therefore fund their attack? Because if this reasoning is right, No money would actually help Russia, even if people kept buying games here. They wouldn't be able to pay anything outside of their territory.
