Wow. I'll have to look at my library and see what unity games I have there that don't have Linux version. It's amazing this actually works

As I mentioned in the GOGmix, it took me a couple of tries to get it working on fullscreen. I had to enable/disable the fullscreen checkbox a couple of times, and restart the game a couple other times to achieve it, but it worked in the end. Keep trying! :)

I've tried to collect a list of Unity games on GOG without a Linux release. This list is not exhaustive in any way (for example, Kyn isn't on it). I exported all releases since 2014 that do not have a Linux version from magog, and then searched them on madewith.unity.com. If there were any results, I added it to the list. Some of these are games that do have a Linux release elsewhere (example: Event[0])

Thanks, I'm sad to hear such news as it was quickly becoming one of my fav games. Good thing the dev came forward though.

Another one we missed so far is Tharsis, which I bought it earlier today during the Hidden Mystery Sale. I've just tested it, and it's another one affected by the 'pink disease'.

I've just written an email to the Unity legal team asking about the legality of runtime archives. If they respond positively, I'm planning to host one on my server.

Please share their answer here when you get it, I too am planning to host some of them.

I don't see why one shouldn't be able to do it, considering they are all available (buried inside the full 1-2GB Unity installers) on Unity's website. But yeah, in legal terms nothing is ever as easy as it seems to the common folk, so let's wait for that answer.

I just thought about something: do you think this method would allow us to run in native 64-bit games that come with only a 32-bit binary in their Linux version?

The Unity Terms of Service state:
"Unity grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license ... to distribute the runtime portion of the Unity Software, on a royalty-free basis, solely as embedded or incorporated into Your Project Content"

From my understanding this means a pure runtime archive is not allowed, but the same game bundled with every runtime version is. I'm not a lawyer though, so I'm waiting for a response before starting anything.

That's pretty cool, if it works. My question is: where are the Linux binaries (I mean, other than included with Linux "native" games)? The linked archives only provide Windows and Mac installers. Running one of the Windows installers, I see nothing in the installed data which could be construed as the required Linux binaries.

Also, games I have that aren't on your list:
Thea - The Awakening 5.4.1p3
Expeditions - Conquistador 4.3.2f1
Cosmic Star Heroine 5.4.5p2

I tested Blackguards 2 (using Shadowrun Hong Kong's binaries), and it refuses to start a new game (probably a video plugin it uses, and I don't want to look for it). I also tested Gabriel Knight - Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition (using Duskers' binaries), and it just gave me a bunch of pink screens (and a pointless menu). The above 3 I can't test because I have no Linux binaries for them.

Of course, honestly, these 5 games all work fine in wine. The only one I'm really interested in trying on Linux is StarCrawlers 5.6.2f1, since the Windows version doesn't work on my system, at all (although the old Linux version is probably good enough; I'll just stop playing the stupid game). Plus, I have held off getting Expeditions - Vikings because it looks like something that won't work well in wine, and maybe that could be cured with a Linux binary as well.
