My best wishes to the Runic team.
While I never bought any of their games, I thought it was a very customer friendly move to provide a demo and added the option to play Torchlight 2 over LAN. Especially at a time when Diablo 3 had neither of those things and just introduced colossal BS like an auction house where players spend real money. So you don't have to pawn your watch in a hurry. In my personal experience, Perfect World like money, even if they are not too fond of people. Selling Runic's games comes at no added cost to them, so they will be selling them at the very least till Windows 12 comes out.

Maybe a F2P Torchlight MMO published by Perfect World Entertainment that they decided to do without Runic? Yay.

This is really sad news. Loved the torchlight games bought them twice Steam and then here as they where worth the re buy. Seems like Perfect world is focusing on the now lucrative online only stuff rather than single player games.

I loved Torchlight 2 very much. Bought it on Steam several years ago, decided to buy again on GOG a few months back. It's a shame to hear that Runic is closing :(

This is why I was sad when Runic sold itself and stopped being its own publisher. They are saying the multiplayer isn't going anywhere (at least for now), but it may die in a year, another reason why LAN Support is so awesome.

Perhaps the Torchlight series if/when it loses its multiplayer support can be taken over by GoG for Galaxy.

Sad... Torchlight were some of the best diablo clones out there (if not the best). Also, great company and great service, plus one of the few to offer at gog the exact same generous deals, like in steam... You will be greatly missed...

They've been triple A'd, Fuck MMOs and mobile cash-grabs...Boycotted this shit publisher.

EGAD! What monstrosity is this?!!! It even has the Transformers movie theme and the "heroes" look like rip-offs of other mobile games
