Watching the Final Fantasy run just now, I noticed their white mage looks familiar...

chevkoch: Not even a day has passed and donations are at $8813.25. Well done so far, RPGLB!

dtgreene: Personally, I am interested in the Wild Arms "Beat game from Demo" run.

chevkoch: The Wild Arms (Trial Version) run on Friday sounds cool indeed. Right now, I'm digging the Final Fantasy X-2 race :) I have a feeling this week will be over far too soon. The tech and strats intricacies are a science to themselves... Incredible, the dedication and skill of those runners.
Unfortunately, it looks like it's happening when I have a concert, so I will need to wait for YouTube.

Also, why is my post "low rated"?

I got excited when I read you were drawn to this thread... but why not drawn to draw something?! ;)
Nevertheless, cheers for checking in!
RPG Limit Break has gloriously exceeded their donation goal already, standing at $59.221,93 currently. A couple of cool runs to watch until the end too, so get over there :)

Oh, and Max, the six-legged robotic dog, ripping apart a Minecrawler. Kinda hard to not adult on these kids drawings... At least 24 hours still before I close this, so time enough left if you wanna enter.

The giveaway is closed now.

Finding a winner was easy, as there was but one entry. I'm very happy with KasperHviid's Robotron, which captured the theme of the giveaway perfectly - that drawing was done in true lil' shit-manner ;) Congrats, expect your code for MDK via chat in a minute or so.

Speaking of MDK - this being a game close to my heart - for those of you who haven't played it, I cannot recommend enough that you give it a try sometime. It's a fantastic, dark sci-fi action title sporting very unique bizarre humor. Throw it into your wishlist and get it next time it's discounted if this game sounds at all like your thing.

=.=

RPG Limit Break saw a record $75.109,33 go to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Another successful speedrunning marathon, where gamers playing their favorite titles fast made something wonderful happen for a good cause. If you wanna watch those runs you've missed live, turn to their official YouTube channel where they plan to upload those (after they will be caught up on well-deserved sleep no doubt).

Then, if you like these events I'd say mark your calendar for the next huge happening, Summer Games Done Quick, held July 3-10.

That's it for now. Thanks much to everyone who checked this thread out! :)

Thanks chevkoch.
Thanks, chevkoch.
I watched bits and pieces here and there, but the one I really wanted to see (Parasite Eve) I, of course, missed.
I hope they'll post the videos on YouTube at some point.

Same here, I'm also waiting for the YT uploads - sadly missed PE too (really looking forward to that one). I think I saw it on Twitter that they confirmed the runs will be coming to YouTube.

Reading their Twitter, I had to laugh at the fun moments that were had. For example, I caught it live during the Drakkhen run, when they said that the game had destroyed a TV, someone's controller and the cart itself XD

Yep. Watched the first hour of the PE run yesterday.

Watching right now, PE is one of my all-time favorites. The gorgeous pre-rendered environments and the unique battle system, it's all coming back why I loved playing this. Someone port this already - how great would it be to have this on GOG?

Better yet, GOG should look into selling PSX games bundles with a PSX emulator. Yes, I know it's probably licensing hell, but imagine being able to play Parasite Eve or Vagrant Story or Final Fantasy Tactics again.

That'd be fine too. Watching the run, my fingers are itching to get into it again. There are already a bunch of SE titles in the catalog; but alas, there's the Sony side of things. For what it's worth, here's the wishlist for PE.
