I'm sure you're asking what the catch is.

Surely Atari screwed it up with timers, microtransactions and some idiotic limitation.

Well, that depends. Wacky Worlds and Time Twister, the expansions of 2 are locked behind a single time transaction, but considering all they add are parks and ugly new scenery, is that really such a loss?

The scenario editor, track designer and sharing of parks is another transaction. Sure, if you want to make parks and share them, that's a bit inconvenient. But this one comes with a special addition of being able to import from the PC version!

All in all, it would cost 16 dollars for the whole shebang, with the Toolkit being the most expensive part.

But otherwise, you buy it and it is yours. Online or offline. Here's the Android Version...

As for the iOS version, here it is.

The iOS store is not easy to find online, much less browse, so be glad I found a link for that from an Engadget article.
Thanks a lot for the heads-up. I will keep my eye on it although I must admit I'm not sure if the game can be truly enjoyed on a mobile device

I don't think over 800 reviews, most positive would really be an indicator of lying.

there's things missing in the port (can't raise or lower go kart tracks for custom designs in scenario, can't set park prices for every scenario, the music on the carousel is stuck while others isn't) and the real estate is kinda small on a iphone 6s+, but it plays well and the only IAP is for scenario editor and RCT 2 expansions;. Best played on a ipad/tablet with large screen.
cheers for the link - might be worth a shot

1. Have you tried long pressing?

2. That's how it was in RCT2. Either you set the park price or the ride prices.

3. Might be a bug, might be a feature. Email them.

for the go-kart tracks, the option just isn't there (and it should be). In RCT 1 (the scenario is from there), you could raise or lower the tracks. The carousel music may NOT be a bug-someone on toucharcade said the orginial used machine code which they do not have access to anymore so stuff may have been changed. Probably will maybe be fixed in a update.

It's not lying I'm afraid of but nostalgia factor ;) The game is very important for a lot of people (myself included) and being able to play it anytime on a mobile device sounds great. But sometimes even the best games are not that great on a mobile device. For example Tycoon Transport - I still prefer to play it on PC. That's why I'm a bit concerned...

Sure, I understand the concern. But Chris actually helped with this port.

Too bad there is no demo/lite version. I will probably get it anyway. Sooner or later ;)

Well, at least it sounds like they didn't completely desecrate it, the way EA did to Dungeon Keeper's mobile version.

If you're looking for desecration, just look at Roller Coaster Tycoon 4/World.
