in addition to Might & Magic 8, are there any role playing games that include dragons as player characters? dragons are so very powerful. & i love including them in my party.

Unfortunately, MM8 is the only game in the Might & Magic series that uses dragons as characters. And the Gog people tell me that MM8 is not compatible with Windows 10, They recommend using it in Windows 7.

There was a very similar topic started just a couple days ago. It should have lots of ideas to start with. : )
EDIT: Perhaps it would help if I actually posted the link, eh?

In Divinity II your character is basically part dragon and can change to a dragon form. In fact you spend a lot of time as a dragon in the last half of the game.
In the Breath of fire series your main character can transform into a dragon.
The Spyro series. Basically you play as a dragon named Spyro throughout the series.

EDIT #1: Sorry, I just remembered that the Spyro series were not RPGs.

Ever played the card game Dragon Storm? It never took off commercially enough to have more than one expansion set, but it's pretty good and not complicated or hard to play.

Never tried it, sorry. The art style looks great though. Too bad I was never into that kind of games.

Dragon Quest V allows you to recruit certain monsters, and a few of them are dragons. Unfortunately, recruiting the ones you want requires being lucky (some are as hard to get as rare drops), which I consider to be one flaw of that game.

Dragon Quest VI has a hidden Dragon class which gets dragon-like stats and learns breath weapons.

The Dragon Quest Monsters series, of course, has dragons you can catch.

Pokemon has Dragon-type pokemon you can catch.

The Bard's Tale series lets you recruit (but not control) monsters into your party, and some of them are dragons. There's also a spell that creates an illusion of a dragon.

Centauri Alliance, despite being a science fiction rather than fantasy game, has a race that can transform, and a couple of the forms are dragons.
Dragons as playable characters... Honestly there aren't nearly enough games :(

Disgaea there's a class of monsters that's dragons (or demons that look like dragons)...

Dragon's Fury (or rage?) was a PS2 game where you played a dragon...

Really coming up empty here :(
The Wizardry series has the Dracon race (half-dragon) which have a breath attack.

That's only in Wizardry 6 and later, and some (not all) of the Japanese spin-offs. Wizardry 1-5 do not have that race.

Thanks, I've only played 6-8 :-)
Several Fire Emblem games have dragon characters in them (which take on a humanoid form most of the time). The Sacred Stones and Radiant Dawn at least, off the top of my head.

Different kinds of dragons actually, as you merge with various party members combining hitpoints and other attributes to become a super being. Of course once you hit max hitpoints it doesn't benefit you much to merge all or some of your character combinations...

Man i remember playing that game almost 2 decades ago... The second game had a slightly more annoying difficulty spike, felt too grindy.
Shining Force? Bleu joins you in the mid/late game.
