Well, if you post the full URL (including the "https://"), the forum software will detect it as a URL and automatically add the URL tags, copying the problematic URL into the proper place in the process. This causes it to effectively fuck up the link while thinking it's helping you. ;)
if you just want to post a link as plaintext, I think omitting everything before the actual domain (isthereanydeal.com/search/?q=risk+of+rain#/page:game/price?plain=riskofrain) should generally work.
There's also some trick regarding using quotation marks around URLs within link tags. I think it only works to preserve "forum-safe" URLs (i.e., ones that have already had any troublesome special characters replaced with their corresponding HTML codes), keeping the forum software from permanently converting such codes back into the trouble-making characters they replaced. I haven't really done any trial-and-error with it yet, though.
