They were the owners of the Starblazers franchise here in the states, that I enjoyed as a kid. I remember getting up extra early before school to watch it every morning.

I had the pleasure of speaking to one of the employees many times years ago, bought some of their tabletop warplay books and movies and played it with a friend some 25 years ago.

It's because of them I got into japanime, and fell in love with the Space Battleship Yamato series. But it appears they are now defunct. I tried to contact them recently to purchase the first series of Starblazers again as that was lost in a move and found they are gone. Probably another business that folded during the pandemic. I see someone else has taken their name now. At least I still have the first five movies.

RIP Voyager Entertainment. Nice people, too. I asked them if they were going to license the live action film of Yamato here in the states, and they said they were trying.

This is a very, very, very specific company, I see.

They were very niche. And I'm sure only appealed to older folks, as I bought the first season and movies out of nostalgia. Unless into japanime, I doubt most younger people have ever heard of Starblazers. So it's probably no surprise they didn't last, just not a market for it anymore I guess.

I don't know who owns the IP now. Might as well grab a copy at Amazon/Fleabay while I can I guess. As much as I hate shopping at either of those places.

Seems to have been gone for quite a long time, at least according to https://ourstarblazers.com/vault/about-us/ " In late 2012 the home office of Voyager in Japan decided to take back the car keys and shut down the American operation. It would have been nice to get an explanation for this move, but none has been offered."

Good find. Thanks for that!
Never watched that one.

I preferred, Silver Hawks. Brave Starr. Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Voltron.

......Unico...... =^..^=
Voltron was cool. I always liked that old school hand drawn anime from that period.
