Cassius Clay died many many years ago. Muhammad Ali died several years later. The man that died last night/today was not either of those men because of how scrambled his brain had become. He was a shell just continuing life for no real reason at all except to be alive. My mother-in-law was the same way due to strokes. However, we are all saddened by the loss of the physical form of a great boxing legend. You can put the gloves down, Mr. Ali. You're home.

The thing that made Muhammed Ali worth remembering was not (only) that he was a great boxer, but because he used his fame for good. He worked against racism (sadly scumbags like ShadowAngel.207 still exist :( ), and for social equality, he worked against war. While he would fight for show, as a sport, he said that he never wanted to hurt someone who had done him no harm.

I suppose that with all the health issues he was facing, he finally got to rest.
Still sad to see such a great athlete and great man go, more so as a mere shadow of himself.

I respect the man a whole lot although his view on racism would be frowned upon today, can't say I completely disagree with him.

I know. But it`s interesting to see how fascinated mankind is by violence. Not even artificial violence like in games, but also real violence, enspecially in so called "sports".
