In a land of myth..
What the...? John Hurt died?
Man, he was a great actor, R.I.P.
I met John Hurt in a pub many moons ago, I was with my actor friend, I asked if he (john hurt) and his daughter wanted a drink! oops, it was his girlfriend, but we had a laugh about it, he bought us a drink.

Might watch 10 Rillington Place tonight

R.I.P John hurt
I believe I watched most of his movies but his performance in V For Vendetta has a special place. Farewell old friend.
Not sure if there is an increase in frequency of well known people and celebrities passing away, or merely an increase in the reporting of it and the sharing and availability of the information, or a combination of the two concepts, but devoid of such reliable statistical information I have a gut feeling that I'm hearing more and more about such deaths and it is always sad to hear. Almost to the point where I'd rather stick my head in the sand and just not know about it until I randomly find out at a later date long after someone has passed on.

Otherwise every day or at least once or more times per week ends up being wake up, shower and eat, log in online and find out who else has died today to be bummed about. :(
Such a shame. He was a great actor and known for one of the most recognizable scenes in movie history.
Rest in peace.

Not sure if anyone's keeping track, but 2016 will take some beating.
Although 2017 is trying hard so far.

He used to drink in my local, helluva nice guy, RIP John :(
RIP.

In Hurt's own words: "oh no, not again!"
1984
I wonder if there is any kind of reverse correlation between an increase in people dying before their time, and Keith Richards staying alive? Conversely, if Keith Richards were to die I wonder if there would be a huge decline in the number of others passing on.

Silly conspiratorialish speculation mind you, not hoping for that or anything. :)
Has anyone mention his small part in Harry Potter yet?

Yes, I know it doesn't stand up to a lot of his other work but it's still a great job by him.
RIP. Love this actor :(

Well, yes, but that time it was for tax reasons.

Heh heh.

Ugh, can't laugh now. Sad.
