RIP Fidel Castro, the last charismatic dictator. I guess some people will be happy to know his death but he had something of nice compared to Bachar al Assad or Kim Jong Un.
I think it's time to (re)play the Tropico serie as a tribute.

RIP also David Hamilton, he committed suicide because of a fake charge of rape on a french journalist around 30 years ago.
His pictures were always erotic, never vulgar or porn.

I liked Fidel overall, sad to hear he passed away.

Well, he's not entirely wrong. He was actually the best of the worst of all dictators. If we put aside the totalitarian side of the case, he made several deals with other countries to make it better for his people. Among those deals was to build up the healthcare and education system and to outsource it in exchange for other goods. Compared to the former dictator and all the others, his people were the most luckiest.

The fundamentalistic view of the Amerika's certainly didn't do anything better. Corporate capitalism has NEVER had people's interests in mind, and is actually worse compared to what he instituted on Cuba.

However, nationalizing the press and freedom of speech wasn't exactly the best move.

I've always been fascinated by the dualistic view; it's either left or right, freedom fighter or terrorist, great leader or monstrous dictator... nothing in between.

PS: Many leaders and dictators around the world have had help or been influenced in some way by the American government. It's when they don't want to be controlled or dictated any longer, that they are a problem for Amerika. Just like Saddam Hussain.

Strange world we're living in where people sympathize with a dictator.

Let's just say he is no where near as "evil" as Stalin. And considering the last Cuban dictator was Batista so.....

Can we never have an RIP train? Its what people do on the internet no matter who dies. Literally any other thread can be used to discuss the value of the people who died. Besides, a simple ''RIP'' to someone who can't do any more harm is not really a political statement, IMO.
