I saw this last night, and remembered quite fondly from my childhood playing the old Zoombini games. So with the original makers getting back the rights to Zoombinis I thought I would give them a boost by posting here.
After all many people here would have played these as small children, and may indeed have little ones of their own now.

I also emailed them about how they would release the games and in their reply they said many had already contacted them about GOG being a potential portal, so I am very excited.

I'll back the project as soon as I get an answer about DRM-free releases. I'm assuming there will be one, but want to make sure after getting burned on an earlier KS. My sibling and I can quote large chunks of the game. We played loved both Zoombini games we played.

I also asked them a question about what language packs will be included, I'll report back if anyone is interested in the answer to that question :-) I forgot many quotes but I still remember some (in German since that was the version I played) from the pizza guys :D

I was at least one. :) Only thing that worries me is if Humongous was rejected in part for being kids' games (which wasn't the main reason at least, iirc), I have doubts as to whether GOG would bring this.

I would hope GOG would look into doing educational games. They are a real thing, can be very good to play and teaching is something games are good at.
Also if parents are here buying for themselves then they could pick up games for their children too and then play them together

I assume the "regular installer" is meant to be a variation of DRM-free, but we may wish to wait for a little more information.
The final line is why I say they have had many. My assumption is that a few people would have been filled out in an hour, but "a number" took a while to work through.

So if anyone is interested in knowing:
The game will be released with English and Spanish as available languages. All others will perhaps come after a release but they are not sure about it, depends if they can find international partners.

I never heard of this game, I now feel old.

Got a response. They said that they were open to DRM-free but were still negotiating with distribution partners. Since several people had mentioned GOG they were going to look into it, but didn't know much about it.

I responded with a brief description of GOG and mentioned that GOG had worked with several KS games and re-released classic games. I'll post again if I hear back.

The bit about negotiating with distribution partners is a bit head-scratching. Are they trying to do a physical release and need multiple distributors?

Too bad they could not get other languages. I'll stick with my old CD original.

Voted! I just noticed it on Steam, it looks pretty true to the original. After revisiting the Humongous Entertainment games, I could go for some more nostalgia.

I received an email from the developers saying that their publishers are in talks with Humble and GOG about the possibility of releasing DRM-free versions.

So fingers crossed.

Silly boneheaded GOG. Ever since they've gone on this rejection spree, my Steam library has risen to about match my GOG library in terms of size.

I mean sure bundles are part of that, but this kind of crap really does a great job turning me away.
