Why doesn't gog.com sell resident evil games?

vaml: Why doesn't gog.com sell resident evil games?
Because Capcom won't let them. That's why so many big-name "AAA" games are missing - the publisher doesn't like DRM-free, or doesn't want to bother with how small GOG is (compared to Steam or EGS's money for exclusives), or other reasons.

Capcom doesn't want to sell them here. If you want them here you can either contact Capcom asking them to consider it or buy the Capcom games that are here in hopes it is enough to convince Capcom to release more games.
Just out of curiosity, which Resident Evil?

Cause I can imagine it wouldn't be a plate of cookies to get some of them running again.

Never say never either; Capcom happily greenlit an absolutely stupid Netflix series!

They do have Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen here - which can be considered a AA or even AAA from 2013~2016.

Depending on how Capcom handles Dragon's Dogma 2 and Good Old Games ...
... there's a high chance they bring Dragon's Dogma 2, older Resident Evils and even Devil May Cry here.

...I hope. :P

I honestly wish Capcom would patch GOG's Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen first before releasing Dragon's Dogma 2 here when it comes out. I haven't touched the game for a long time, but I take it the pawn system is still broken. I just don't wish they will treat Dragon's Dogma 2 the same way here in the future, if it does get released here.

Yes, unfortunately pawn system only works with friends through Galaxy, it seems. Plus, the quest from Bitterblack Isle still broken in GOG's version, while it has been fixed in Steam, and it had a localization update too if Im not mistaken.

For someone who only play it offline, without the Pawn Rent system, and modded for some items, it doesn't affect me, but still... :(
Let's wait. :)

You forgot a third option:
- buy the rights for the RE games from Capcom, and then offer GOG the right to sell the games here.

XD
The short answer is that GOG is a low priority for Capcom and other companies and doesn't offer any substantial financial reasons to improve their position. So, either they get leftovers or they get nothing.
I have a feeling that the OP is trying to trigger some kind of special event where a few days after the creation of this thread, some Resident Evil games would finally find their way here to GOG, the same way Skyrim was released here after there was a thread made by a user asking why is there no Skyrim on GOG a few days back lol.

This is very doubtful since (probably) all of Resident Evil games have build-in DRM. For instance, take a look at RE5 that still requires GFWL. Things like this should show up how much the publisher care.

Though I'd be happy to be wrong and one day Capcom will release any Resident Evil game here on GOG.

Why doesn't GOG sell No One Lives Forever 1+2, God of War, The Last of Us, Spider-Man, Uncharted, Red Dead Redemption 2, Doom 2016, Doom Eternal, Return to Monkey Island, Freelancer, GTA 1-5 and spin offs, Mass Effect LE, Max Payne 1-3, Bully, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, American McGee's Alice games, Crimson Skies, the entire Assassin's Creed franchise, Watch Dogs 1+2, Valiant Hearts, the Life is Strange franchise, Alpha Protocol, L.A. If nothing else, they should release the old Windows ports for here.

I see. Personally, I've never played any of the Resident Evil games as far as I remember, but wouldn't the really older games not have any DRM tied to them? Maybe Capcom could release those older ones here.
