Goodbyes are not forever (and war never changes).

It's not the first time we give this advice, but remember to take your Rad-X pills, try not to mistake a G.E.C.K for a gecko (not even remotely the same thing!), and take good care of yourself out there in the wasteland: Fallout, the premiere post nuclear role playing game franchise, is back.
The Fallout games have been with us on day one, and they played an inseparable part in defining the early GOG.com catalog. When they got swept away by radioactive winds, a gaping hole the size of California was left behind that we haven't quite been able to fill... until now!

Once again, you can pick up all three RPG classics at 66% off in a single post-apo bundle that includes:
--Fallout
--Fallout 2
--Fallout Tactics

We're welcoming Bethesda Softworks to GOG.com with more bundles, and tons of new classic releases - all DRM-free of course - and don't forget that two The Elder Scrolls classics (The Elder Scrolls: Arena and The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall) will drop like a bomb straight into your library, completely FREE with any Bethesda purchase. The bundle promos end on Wednesday, September 2, 12:59 PM GMT.

Rincewind81: First thing - the new Release is multilanguage. The classic english only. I don't like this.
avatar
ZivilSword: The old release supports also multilanguage. I don’t know if it did before today, but I am able to choose between several languages

Fallout
• English
• German
• Spanish
• French

Fallout 2
• English
• German
• French

Fallout Tactics
• English
• German
• French
Ingame? I was just checking for different installation files.

Last time I installed it, it didn't have any other languages than English. So... Do we old farts have the "new" version too, just with a different ID to allow us to keep the extras?
I would also like to know more about the two different versions of Fallout if the older one that i have will be updated. Would be a shame if it was not.
Don't count on it.
Since I arrived here after Fallout was unfortunately gone, can someone please tell me what were the extras that were stripped off?

Thanks in advance.

Since Bethesda gets a piece of the price, I'd put my money on Bethesda not wanting to give stuff away to people who didn't pay them. You want the Bethsoft stuff, you pay Bethsoft. Gog is just our favorite intermediary.

And hopefully over time other mods might be added to the Bethesda version, like with so many other Gog games. First a release, then mods and additional goodies added over time; GOG SOP.

Finally, that's a decent sale on the games - not a bad introductory price to "upgrade" and have both versions, or get in cheap if you missed the free versions. 33% or buy one, get two free! It's not *that* bad.
Nice, but I guess they will be regionally priced soon.
I'm super happy about today's releases, but.. I'm puzzled about the "new" Fallout entries.

Does this mean that every time a game will change owner, a different Gog version could appear, leaving the previous one obsolete? O_o

Holy defecation, that's a crapload of stuff missing from Tactics.

Not having the Fallout Bible, Artworks & the Soundtracks is kinda bad, too.

I don't know if I should buy these. It's not like I don't have them in physical copies & digitally elsewhere.

I can not say that this is the best re-release I have seen. Bad call.

Thank you both.
Well , Hello to everyone !

Can somebody give me a hint - this versions has any differences frome the old-ones ?
Except the Bethesda title , of course .
Double post, sorry.

Excellent news! I joined GOG long after these classics were removed, it's great to have them back, I'll be adding this series to my library as soon as possible.

viperfdl: Are they also the uncut American versions or still the cut European version (no children)?
avatar
JamesBond007: After reading the details regarding the Steam release, I think it's the European version - you need to patch it to remove censorship.
Ahh, so in that case no reason to repurchase whatsoever if I gotta run a patch anyway. Excellent! Thanks. :)

I say repurchase, but it'd be more like re-re-re-re-repurchase for me lol
