fr33kSh0w2012: I knew this was going to happen GOG.com is going bankrupt, Thanks for the games.
calm down fr33kshow its probably Retroism and or Prism going bankrupt or having something else going on, not GOG because These games are also gone from STEAM as well.

so its Retroism/Prism, not GOG.

Relax bro.

Edit:
So upon checking the steam pages for all three of these games I discovered that one of the publishing entities: "Prism Entertainment" no longer lists any games, while Retroism still does, so my guess is that Prism probably shut down and they probably held the majority of the publishing rights. so its possible Retroism is working on getting full publishing rights. (its just a theory)

All three Titles are also REMOVED FROM SALE ON STEAM.

Uprising 1
Uprising 2
Requiem

So fr33k its not GOG that has the problem, its one of the publishers.
Relax man.

Shame that the bastards at Ziggurat Ent. still don't sell their games on GOG. Darklands definitely belongs here and it should return ASAP.

chandra: We’d like to inform you that Requiem: Avenging Angel, Uprising: Join or Die and Uprising 2 - Lead and Destroy will be delisted from our catalog due to expiring licensing rights on February 7th (Friday), 4pm UTC.
We’re working on bringing them back as fast as possible.

For everyone who purchased any of the games prior to delisting, they will remain in their GOG library.
When will you start posting about the delisting of games in the news on the front page again? Like how are people supposed to know this if they don't actually read the forums?

I suspect that one of the reasons may be that GOG isn't interested in creating bad blood between them and the new ip holders. Everyone who buys the game under the old publishers is less likely to acquire the game under the new.
Thus GOG may want not to "harm" the interest of the future new publisher in order to seduce them to selling here.
Just my guess.

Yeah I have to imagine there must be some subtle reasons for this, maybe similar to what you were saying. Otherwise wouldn't GOG blast this news far and wide, so as many people as possible get the games before they're removed?

Imo GOG needs to be the bull at the bargaining table and demand concessions/etc for itself in these contracts more than they do....they seem to constantly be getting the poo covered end of the stick in such negotiations as of late, and they can't let partners walk all over them if they are to be taken seriously by users/partners.

Likely that's one thing partners get at the bargaining table....dictating how a game is removed(silently or more so vs. loudly and in new posts), etc.

I can hardly see how GOG can have any sort of leverage at the bargaining table. The majority of the gaming crowd has no problem in buying in DRM stores. As long as people keep buying all games on steam GOG will only mean "cheap change" for the publishers.
I mean: people are even getting into game-streaming services, FFS !! There can be no more DRM than that.

GOG is still one more place for them to sell/make money, and I meant more for middling to smaller devs and ip holders where they can exact more leverage.

(Also an aside: Nice to see you posting once more...I missed our chats and seeing your posts/insight on things :))

...
As you know it's often only %5-15 percent of Steam's sales though, so perhaps many devs or pubs wouldn't necessarily want the hassle for that little amount of money. Your "smaller devs and ip holders" point is fair, but GOG still has to walk a really thin tightrope of course, very cautiously. I fall more on the side of karnak1's responses here.

I agree a bit as well....GOG must be careful....but also I think GOG shouldn't let itself be pushed around too much either. :)
I was really really interested in buying and playing Avenging Angel but the game hardly ever went on sale.
It was unaffordable at full price.
Perhaps it would be a good idea for gog to put games on high sale if they are leaving the gog storefront.

That'd be nice, but all sales are(iirc) allowed only by the rights holders.....i.e. only if they allow such. :\
wow, Requiem Avenging Angel is a game i havent thought about in a LONG time... hope it comes back.
