GR00T: There are no awards. Rep basically is meaningless, so don't worry about it.

Fairfox: Thar's always lots o' replies when it's brought up, mind!

(Hai.)
Of course! Meaningless internet points are of great importance.

KasperHviid: Vainamoinen's post got upvoted. That's irony, folks!
Now you ratted me out. Expect my hard earned green to make a sudden switch towards the crimson-scarlet in 6 to 48 hours.

Falci: I swear to the Supreme God of Heavy Metal Almighty that I want this to be a side quest in Cyberpunk 2077.
The real irony is that CDPR offers functional (and positivity fostering) forum software to their community, including especially for their dedicated Cyberpunk 2077 forums, and that you can log into that functional forum software with your GOG account, while no such software seems to be possible for the GOG forum itself.

Which is probably the result of The Witcher raking in insane amounts of cash while the DRM free game vending platform is kind of disappointing. :|

DubConqueror: For clarification: if someone has negative reputation, it can either mean they are really a total jackass, but it could also be a helpful, positively contributing member of the community who has had the ill luck of stepping on the toes of trolls who use bots or otherwise abuse the system to constantly down-rep that person out of a feeling of personal vendetta that's totally undeserved. [...]
Conversely, If someone has a high positive reputation, it can might mean that they are helpful, kind, funny, or at least post a lot without making too many asshole remarks. But it can also mean that they're a petty, spiteful bigot with a martyr complex who's merely hosted a lot of giveaways over the years, or that they haunt various game-specific forums, answering many, many questions, and frequently getting posts marked as the solution, even though they're an imperious twat with a pathological inability to admit they could be wrong. (These are totally hypothetical examples, by the way -- absolutely not real forum regulars. <.< )

zeogold: During this whole time, I've been a well-loved member of the community.
I must be slipping a bit as I missed this bit about the ''self ego'' pump (my apologizes)....lol.

Or they were just unlucky and got somehow sucked into a blacklist by accident without doing anything wrong.

steven.penn: Could someone please explain the 'Reputation' system and how does one achieve awards
I don't think you'll get any awards, however iirc for every point you get below 0, you'll lose one game in your library.
avatar
bler144: Roughly you get 1 rep per day just for showing up and posting anything.
I don't know about you, but I get roughtly -3 rep per day no matter if I show up or not. (

They're not just removed from your library, they're handed over to a random user with a score over 2500 (5 stars). This is the reason I have over 200 copies of Teenagent.

I used to get the max each day but the sweetie's have softened and now it's a miserly 2 or 3 a day.Sometimes it's none but that is a rarity or I forget to look which could be a key if you are concerned.
