Everytime I reply to someone, the window that pops up isn't enlarged. I have to stretch it to the right to be able to see the whole window AND I have to stretch it down to reveal the Cancel and Post Message buttons. It's not a big deal, it just gets a bit irritating when I have to stretch the window every. single. time.

Is it just me or does this happen to you too?

Does not happen to me. Mine is the same decent sized square taking up roughly a fourth of the screen I am used to with the cancel and post message button visible absent me manipulating the size of the window.
The fact that GOG hasn't put a proper inline reply box shows just how dated this forum is. Though, it's not like there aren't people who have dedicated themselves to fixing GOG's various shortcomings. to the point of people even forking said scripts when said developers vanish off the face of the website.

Though editing is still a bit hosed, I will admit that. Still. This is something people are solving for free with scripting tools.

Are you sure your words arent too big - or even the wrong shape for the window? - Have you tried turning them sideways, or hammering them with the wooden mallet that comes with every copy of gog?

;)

My only real problem is I have to copy and paste any time I want to reply to multiple people in one post. That and the linking gets all fudged because it can't handle certain URLs.

Lately i get it full-new-window with no benefits to the size...

• Numbers and basic Latin letters are fine. Many other characters in links need to be encoded. For example, Wikipedia commonly uses colons : in their links. These need to be manually replaced with %3A.
• Multiple links on the same line must be wrapped in quotations marks, or the forum will mangle the post.
• Many characters as link text will get turned into their HTML entities when posting. I don't know a workaround for this one; I just stick to basic Latin letters and numbers.

You can try deleting xulstore.json from your Firefox profile folder but you'll lose toolbar customizations in the process.

Are you using a proper PC (desktop/laptop) or are you using some mobile device (tablet, etc)?

Because I don't think I ever encountered that issue, that you describe, on my PC - only while using mobile devices.

As to the why that's the case...I have no clue.
Probably bad implementation of a "mobile modus"?

I use Barefoot Essentials, so most of the time I don't have this problem.

The only problem with that is: no attachments unless you edit.

First I'd like to apologize for the assumption that I had about you judging by the information I got from reading your post halfway, which I thought you were just too nitpicky. That was not until I continued reading and realized that you couldn't even see the Cancel and Post my message buttons. So nope, I think this is an issue that few people experience since I've never encountered such a problem. Sure the window still doesn't take up the whole screen, but enough for me to see everything that I need to make my post.

It's a problem that exists on GoG's code. HTML describes how a page should be formatted, not it's size, so it will auto-scale to try to best fit based on width of data. Yes this does mean each column in a grid may be different sizes as the minimum to fit the elements and can look ugly to the eye, but as long as all the images and buttons fit the rest of the message box should scale to size.

This means the size of the reply box HAS to have a set size, either in the CSS or in the page.

Curious using 'Inspect' immediately i see that the box is set to 110 columns and 20 rows. That would be the fixed size. If taken away (via grease-monkey or something) then it would probably scale.

Try to set "open new windows as new tabs" in browser preferences.
