the wishlist seems to be kinda out of hand even if i reported them before, can we just replace it with a pretset where we can click on the ones we want to see

Take Aoe+seris for example <https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=age of empires>

why do we need all that juke when we can just have

age of empires
age of empires II
age of empires III

or

age of empires + The Rise of Rome
age of empires II + Forgotten Empires
age of empires III Complete Collection

sadly gog won't get the other 2 civs for AoE2 since those are for the HD version of the steam HD version

i want to see what other people think because there is more freedom here then once you wish for something to talk about it.

Yeah it is a problem that there are several entries for the same or similar wishes, but who would define and maintain the presets then?

I guess the idea with a community wishilist is that the community comes up with the wishes, supports them, and they possibly work as some kind of input to e.g. GOG staff who might mark some of them as completed later.

There could be one moderator (either from GOG staff or the community) who will accept any new wishes based on what is already there, but that is extra work to someone. Somehow I foresee endless arguments whether some new wish really is the same as some old one, people becoming angry because their new wishlist item was removed because there was somewhat similar old item in the system already etc.

Here in Finland we actually have a similar problem with "kansalaisaloite.fi" (="citizen initiative"), which is a web service where Finnish citizens can start initiatives for legislation, and people can support it (you have to prove your identity electronically to the system before you can add new initiatives or vote for existing ones). Then if an initiative gets enough votes, the Finnish parliament is supposed to take it into discussion.

It has a bit of similar problem because there may be several similar (but sometimes slightly different) initiatives in the system, so votes might come dispersed as people don't probably find nor vote for all similar initiatives. For instance there was recently an initiative for Finland to push in EU for getting rid of the current daylight saving madness (shifting the clock twice a year), and there were several similar active initiatives about it in the system. Anyway, I voted for the most popular one of those initiatives, and luckily it got enough votes so now our parliament has to discuss about it. (Here's hoping the daylight saving really gets abolished in EU at some point...)

Maybe that is one simple solution to the problem (if it isn't there already): when you search for a wishlist item with keywords, the most popular one comes to the top by default. Then people are more likely to vote for that, and not the less popular ones.

Of course I presume many people may have voted for many or all of the similar items anyway, so is there necessarily a real problem...?

Add a wishlist entry for it.
