It is the best solution. Or rather, every time you get downrepped for no particular reason, which will undoubtedly happen, think of the gift you got today and tell yourself that that's just fair.

In any community that has a "downrep" system, the rep score is usually completely meaningless. Things would be fairly different if only an upvote option existed. That's because agreement generally doesn't need an additional explanation, but disagreement practically always does.

That rep bot whatever it is just hit again which more so than any logic makes the system pointless.

Even if you were to take my drop out of it, and the argument can be made that given how obnoxious I am I deserve every drop, you still have those scammers who do nothing in here but fuck people over getting their rep upped every day. If you rely on that number to judge forum participation and popularity then you are being very seriously mislead. :P

I am still surprised why it's there then, seen as it serves no puropse... beside maybe E-peen.

And assuming it's so easy to be rigged anyways, might as well just remove it (or not make it publicly visible).
